Curbelo has been pretty close to a disaster this year. Shooting 34% from the field, 19% from three and had close to as many turnovers as assists. He may have been a higher rated recruit than Posh, but we got the better player for sure.

One of the first things Sampson did when he was hired, was convince Tillman Fertitta that if he donated 20 Million dollars to upgrade facilities, that he'd have Houston vying for a NC in no time. Note to SJU; that's how it's done.

Sampson is a great coach, but let’s not pretend he is some angel. He is in the same boat as Bruce Pearl.
Both received show cause punishments, but I would take either here immediately (and that also includes Pitino).
This is why I do not take fans seriously who claim they will no longer be fans if a certain coach is hired.

Curbello will probably head somewhere else and benefit from a fresh start. Poor season for sure but the talent is there and wouldn’t like to see him end up at the Hall or similar.

If Nova had a legit inside presence, they would be very very tough. Lack of such a presence is the keeping Ohio State in the game.
Curbelo had a serious concussion which kept him out for quite a few games. There was also another injury that might still be lingering. That being said nonetheless, his return to the court has definitely not been good and showed regression in all phases of his game when compared to last year.NCJohnnie post=465193 said:
