NCAA Tournament 2022

Assuming Creighton brings back their eligible core  Kaluma/Nembhard/Alexander/Kalkbrenner they are a pre-season top 10 team next year.

Agree with you. They and Nova should battle it out for the conference title next year. (Assuming all are coming back for both).

Even More than Kalkbrenner, Creighton needed at least one guy who could break down a defense. Without one, they had to work hard for every basket. Of course, KU defense had something to do with it as well.

Would be great for the conference  if all those Creighton freshmen return. Nice to have a team with national buzz preseason.

”"We live in a world of excuses...we had a lot of opportunities to have excuses this year as to why the season wasn't going to continue to progress as it was, but we didn't do it. In this day and age, that's pretty impressive."

Providence defending well and Richmond star guard, Gilyard, has been shut out in first half. Friars lead by 15

I'm rooting for Tennessee but have to give Howard and Michigan credit for showing they clearly belong here.

always give howard a fighters chance

Very happy for Cooley. Has always seemed to me like a good guy and loyal Northeasterner whose players like him and play generally hard for him.

I met him 3 summers ago in Alabama at a tournament my son was playing in. We were staying in the same hotel as were many coaches. Went up to him and introduced myself , told him I am an SJU 83 grad and myself and many St. John’s fans have great admiration for him and how hard his teams play. He was very engaging and most appreciative. Came out and said we are not going to get the top kids to come to Providence but we are going to get good talented kids who fit our system and always play hard. No truer words were ever spoken.
He may get upset on the court , for which I don’t blame him, but he was a real gentleman to talk to.
Go Friars and continue to keep the BE alive in the Tournament.

Loved Tennessee coming into Tourney but a bad 3-4 minutes in this Tourney in a tight game and you go home.

Big 10 a bit of redemption this year and SEC not looking great.

I've never actually met Cooley but has been near or in his presence on several occasions and he seems to have that sort of aura re: affable. I don't care for Providence (I don't hate 'em by any means), but kudos to Cooley.

It may not mean much--it certainly doesn't now--but some people forget Michigan was once a top 5 team nationally very early in the season.

Kudos to Juwan Howard and the Wolverines. Five consecutive Sweet 16 appearances for Michigan.  Impressive.

My Dad's family is from Rhode island and my cousins always huge PC fans back to the Jimmie Walker days. I root for PC & Nova from Big East the most outside of the Johnnies. Good job Mr. Cooley!

Providence getting Rodney Dangerfieid no respect giving only 2 1/2. Might have to visit my butcher for lunch and a wager

Must read our board.

Cooley has the Friars on their game today; gonna be an interesting game vs Kansas.  If I'm a Terp fan--he's the BE coach I would want.  It will be fascinating if he stays a Friar and remains in his hometown.  It will definitely show him to be a person of integrity in turning down mega bucks to stay home.

Here’s hoping coverage of Coach K tomorrow does not eclipse War and Peace with shots of him getting off bus, hugging the bride, taking a leak before the game and tearing up. Go coach! Hopefully Izzo, seemingly a legit guy, kicks his ass.

Was thinking the exact same thing.
