Potential candidates in no particular order:

Hurley
Cluess
Dawkins
Amaker
Scheyer
James
Pitino
Hell no to Cluess, Amaker and Scheyer. Just a "no" to Dawkins. Who is James? Does LeBron wanna coach us next season? :)
Agreed I think he means Nate James, K assistant and former Duke player.

Bobby would be an upgrade but not sure how much long term if he has the skills to match Jay. He'll work though.

Pitino would win with 5 midgets and a cheerleader.
Especially a horny middle-aged cheerleader.
I cant believe Hurley is being talked about like a savior! He has NEVER built a succesful program!!! EVER anywhere! He is the same risk Norm was, Lavin was, Mullin was! Stop settling for a maybe and hyping him! He is a hot head! Pitino is a final 4 machine! One is a HOF coach, and the other is a technical foul from the shower!
Damn, are you Slick Rick himself? Don't get me wrong, I'd be on board for hiring the guy, but you are a bit obsessed with him.

To the good ole tea leaves the past few weeks. I think this has been signed sealed and delivered and waiting to be unwrapped
If it turns out to be Hurley I will disappear for 4 years and come back again in time for another coach! We need a program not a coach! Pitino brings us a final 4 program!! For decades to come
Decades to come? Are we talking about the same Rick Pitino?

Pitino making his last run...NYC and LI guy. To save St. John's NY's team. Man it would be insane. My heart just tells me there's no way lol. Too many letdowns. Hurley would still be fine.

If there was a better coach available with his pedigree i would be obsessed with him or her. I am tired of the horrible hires! We need a homerun! And this is the time! And Pitino is a teacher, coach, and final 4 machine!
Pitino has had some serious lapses in judgement but he is one of the 5 best coaches in the last 30 years hands down.

Again I could give you 5 midgets and the girl next door and he could go 22-9 and 11-7...He's that good...
What about four white guys and an Egyptian?

Oh, in case you forgot that the national championship game is being played ... the score is 29 to 27 Tech with 2:29 remaining in the 1st half

The donors that I have aligned with arent just down here, they are all over, and the leader I am confident is one of the largest donor! I dont have his money
Will be an interesting horse race :)

An euphoric evening for most of us ... but, guys, there's a great title game going on right now (27-27). Time to log off and argue about who'll be our next coach tomorrow.

Yes sir! He would groom his heir! Turn over to them in 5 years a winning tradition! Do you think Mullin, Lavin, Norm, or Hurley concern Jay Wright? Nope but Pitino would have his attention immediately!!

As thrilled as I am wish this news broke at midnight as it is distracting me from concentrating on this game.

Look at your buddy's first 6 years as a HC. He wasn't a FF machine. That FF came in his 7th year. Next year is Bobby's 7th year coaching. Relax bro ;)

We haven't even signed him (or anyone) to a contract, and already you're talking about who will be his replacement. How about just going with a younger man -- like Hurley -- who, with any luck, we won't have to replace in five years.
