... I think he'll have them frequently inside the top-25 and on the right side of the bubble most seasons.
Awesome. Let's already start the unrealistic expectations for the next guy, so we can force him out in four years.
If SJU hires Hurley, I’m pretty sure his expectations are as high as the fans. He knows what winning means.

I said Mullin was gone! Pitino is the target! Hurley the distraction! Tenn and STJ will fight for Pitino. The leak now about Mullin has everything to do with Barnes/UCLA talk
Question is can we out pay Tenn???

Irony would be we fired a coach and one of the reasons was he was looking to possibly go to Arizona state and now years later we would love to hire Arizona States coach.

Pitino is a sure thing for 6-8 years and could leave it to Jr. to take over.

Hurley is my choice. I want the two guards he has signed. The JUCO kid is insane. He’s a college guy through and through. It would be bush league to prevent any PG who committed to play for Hurley from following him.
Hurley checks all the boxes. Young, hungry, great pedigree, tireless worker etc... He’s a local Jersey legend too. I’d be thrilled with this.
I think Borman will be brought in. I also hope he gives Hsu a look as well. Let's get a group of hardworking, smart coaches in here.

And he will have the full support of his athletic director. Those Duke ties run deep!

The leak now about Mullin has everything to do with Barnes/UCLA talk
If Pitino comes you get all the credit in the world. If Hurley comes credit is going to go to someone here who doesn't post rumors who told me and another person this might happen during the big east tourney
I dont want any credit! Like everyone else I want a winner again before I pass on to the big Johnny alumni in the sky! I am just passing detes that were passed to us! The big donors which I said are cutting off the money! I am not as big as some but I joined them! Pitino or bust! Hurley was to keep Pitino price supressed. Tenn now may lose Barnes and Tenn put out feelers, which were intercepted which forced the announcement now. I would prefer the Pitino package for 5 years with him grooming his replacement. I know Hatten is joining in some capacity no matter who the hire turns out to be. We had meetings to discuss upping the donations! Cragg is slick!
Want the best man for the job and in either of the 2 cases - getting motivated coach. No buyout for Pitino would certainly be a plus but assume if there is any competition price may soon exceed our budget.

Btw THAT right there is extremely important. Most successful programs are born that way. Changes the culture.

New coach should hire who he thinks best fit of course. One would have to trust their discretion.
I would hire Pitino in two seconds...
I think we would sell out every game or pretty damn close

Otis with all due respect only one coach on your list has taken ALL his teams to final fours! Hurley may get us to a sweet 16 maybe. Pitino is the man for this job! The largest donors are in agreement! Pitino or bust!

Hate to break it to you but there’s no way St Johns (still a Catholic university) hires Pitino. Next up? .
