More Jordan Problems?

Ugh. Hope this works out. I really thought Rysheed was going to break through this year and be one of the top players in the conference. Maybe better for the future and the development of the young guys we're getting but I'd be shocked if we're even close to a NCAA bid without him.

last place.
wah, wah, wah.... Bet u $1000 this team dies not finish last... This kid is EASILY replaceable.... Pathetic.

This year's returnees averaged 10 ppg last season.
10 points per game.
It is what it is.
No knock on anyone.
Just gonna take a while.

Ah......another shoe has dropped. Every hardcore St. John's fan knew we had received too much good fortune lately. It was only a matter of time.....right?

Obviously, this setback is not on the current staff. Let's hope this is one of the last, if not the last, symptom of our previous regime. I am confident that Mullin and his staff will be successful in steering us clear of these transgressions. Every program has some bumps in the road, so I don't expect perfection. However, I look forward to loosing the feeling that we are always an inch away from a crumbling issue.

I don't know if Jordan plays for SJU again. Either way, our program is headed in a positive direction.

Won't & yes on program direction.

Braziller lighting up Lavin and his staff on twitter
Whats he saying.? Even the biggest Lavin supporter has to admit he left us in bad shape for next season. Mullin and staff did a remarkable job ,considering the time they have been here, and what they inherited. I don't think Sampson would have signed on ,when all was said and done. Let's hope Lovett is eligible and we can reel in Mussini. I thought w Sheed that we might have a shot at the tourney. Oh well, let's build for the future. I don't think we will finish last place, we still have some good pieces. But, I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about Sima also, his loss would also make us thin up front. I have to figure there was a reason he didn't sign his LOI.

If Jordan is, in fact, done then the key to any success next year will be Lovett's readiness for this level.

Freshmen are freshmen...even the good to great ones...

From a long range program perspective, this may be addition by subtraction
Jordan has been a pain in the tuckus from day one
We need to build a healthy program with quality kids that can play at this level
I am confident that Coach Mullin is on the right path to achieving this goal

honestly, love the way Jordan plays basketball. He was an exciting player on our team with loads of taint, but, we as fans are on egg shells with him every second of the day. Enough, you are a man, with a free college ride. When is he going to start being responsible ? We've given plenty of slack....enough, cut the cord and put the full press on Mussini and the Greek. When Jordan matures....he will kick himself you know where that he blew it, alla Lenny Cooke.

So if I have it straight the last three recruiting classes netted Rysheed for the better part of two seasons , Amar A and two academically ineligible players , and possibly Brandon Sampson and Sammy B Thompkins.
Absolutely pathetic IMHO. Lavin was left a ton and in turn left Mullin with a worse roster than than the fat bald piece of crap whose name I cannot repeat left Norm.
Lavin should be ashamed for having asked the admin for an extension let alone a raise. This was something he had to have been aware of and if he wasn't it is more gross negligence on the part of the former staff.
Every fan of the program knew Rysheed needed more attention in more than one way than the majority of the team , why the highest rated to play in the program in over ten years didn't get it is shameful , embarrassing , pathetic , gross mismanagement and whatever adjectives others may wish to add.

The way I see it, it's essentially the same as if he had declared and left to begin with. And that's something most of us expected anyway. And posters also expected us to take our lumps anyway, so this is pretty much the same boat we expected to be in, save for a six-week Jordan tease.

I hope he can make something of himself basketball-wise, but glad the the roller coaster is finally over. His hangers-on need to get his ass into juco, and then to Temple or LaSalle. If they are looking to get rich off him, maybe they should actually try to protect their investment and give him some good advice. Dividing a D-League salary seven ways isn't going to cut it.

Excited about LoVett and Mussini, and I don't think there's any way in hell we finish last unless neither of those guys are here next season and we need to play Ellison 40 mpg at the point.

How can he go juco when he has already played two years of D1 ball?

I really hope Lovett is eligible and Mussini signs on. They make a nice backcourt.

You can transfer to a juco in an attempt to fix your grades -- it happens all the time. Then he can try to apply to a school in Philadelphia. That's what someone with a plan would do. Not sure if Rysheed has ever had a plan for anything, though.

I believe that Walter Berry sat on the bench here for a year, a victim of the late Prop 48. When his grades still weren't right after year 1, that is when he went to San Jacinto.

Someone can correct me, if I am wrong about this.

He can't play JUCO after two years of D1 so it's not really a transfer. But he can go there to fix up his grades, certainly.
