Mustapha either staying or declaring for draft which I believe he has to do by tomorrow.

When you are in a great relationship that experiences some adversity, a wise man should look for every reason to stay rather than accepting the adversity as a reason to leave.
A dad who gets it

A crazy few days for CMA but he has yet to miss at bat. Great that Greg Sr has confirmed that Jr is staying at SJU. 1by 1 I sense that the pieces will fall into place. The man is experienced and this is the fourth time he has had to rerecruit the team he inherited. He knows his priorities and will go about them in proper order.
The way CMA coaches too bad Simon isn't sticking around. I would think he would crush it with the pressing style. Damn
I would bet CMA will be reaching out to Justin, fingers crossed!

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Williams, LJ and Mustapha will stay
CMA's system is also perfect for Simon - really hope we can reel him in as well
I truly believe that Williams and Roberts can thrive in the "40 minutes of hell" system
Next season could be a whole lot brighter than I thought 10 days ago
With a little recruiting and coaching, this team could be dangerous

The other guy that fits the system is Steere. He is very mobile for a big man.

Not necessarily a sign. Justin always has a very positive spirit.
If we all didn’t know the gory details about the dysfunction in the coaching search and Mike Anderson emerged as a candidate, no question that his record, passion, commitment , and skill set would have put him at the top of any list! Any school would be thrilled to have him. In his press conference , he exhibited all the qualities that one would want for the job. He even incited more passion for the job than could ever be expected. His communication skills were on full display! Getting our three players up on the stage with him was incredibly effective and moving as well. Only question in my mind is who are the AC picks and I have extreme confidence in Anderson and Cragg that we will get the right coaches whether it’s any combo of Borman,Hsu,Day,Reid, etc. He will be successful! Any judge of talent and people should be able to see that. AND,with Cragg, this team will be Unstoppable! Mark my words. Any smart fan should buy any disgruntled season ticket holders Tix ASAP because soon you will not be able to get them. Any one buy stocks here? Buy low, sell high! And I’m a fan since the, early 80s and have read ad nasuem all the misery on this site! Go Red Storm!
As to your Assistant Coaches ? I went back to the Arkansas web site & saw that his two assistants AJ Cleveland (related to coach Anderson) & Coach Watson , BOTH have on their resumes being named "TOP Assistant Coaches in NCAA" mentioned in their BIO's. The criteria for this is based on RECRUITING. So, if he keeps both of them or even one, it's a major + for the future. We should know shortly.

Understood. But I am positive that Coach is talking to him and there is no doubt style would fit him like a glove. Not counting on it, but you just never know....and picture certainly doesn't hurt those (admittedly faint) hopes.

Would love to see Justin back but don't assume anything because Clark and Trimble are in the picture too.

Gotcha 72 I saw that and am way more hoping than assuming. Justin was one of my favorite Johnnies and I'd love to see him play under our new coach's style. However, fully get that he's likely made his decision and has to do what he thinks is best for him and his family.
Marvin Clark was called for 3 fouls while that picture was taken!
That's a hoot, SJU...15! Lol. Thanks!

Read that as well and they both look very good. Maybe add Borman for NY recruiting and we should be good!

Hopefully Mustapha and Figgy, return.
That said even with our trusty 9 (Heron, Figueroa, Steere, Wright, Williams Jr., Roberts, Caraher, Keita, Earlington), we need rescue by a cavalry of recruits/transfers to salvage the 2019-20 season from the BEC basement.
I'm high on CMA and his 'Staff' (expecting good thing there), but we have critical holes at PG, PF, a solid 3pt guy (I'm like a kid making out his Christmas List, lol.) and guys for depth to play intense 40 minutes of hell every game.
Hoping we get some good news in coming days / weeks.
We shall see.
Social media points to Williams and Roberts returning.

Zach's article in today's NY Post has quotes from Heron and LJ. Their comments indicate that they remain undecided.

Posted this following yesterday's presser, but I was wary of LJ's stoic body language while standing behind CMA. I'm sure he's still considering offers from some pretty good programs.
