May as well since from day one few had a warm and fuzzy feeling about coach Anderson. Most of it had to do with not hiring someone else and it has extended to his first recruits who he has had to sign on the 11th hour.
As Billy Joel sang " I didn't start the fire". You all were arguing over the hire over 40 pages ago. My friend Dink even noticed the negativity back then:
"but I have a pretty good memory for the most part, and just didn't recall a bunch of posts where folks were falling over themselves in excitement when Anderson was hired nor when he landed McGriff and Sears.
Of course, you're always gonna have a small group of posters who'll act in that manner anywhere, and it's no different on here. I just don't recall it being a ton of posters.
I really believe a lot of this stems from Cluess not being hired, as I know Monte strongly advocated for the hiring of him. I could be wrong, but I truly believe this to be the case."
Sure, lock the thread and get over the hire.
go through this thread in the beginning and look at all the posters pumped with Anderson. There were few not happy. Recruiting a different story maybe
Mike, the "original thread" wasn't even about the Mike Anderson hire. The title thread was changed after about a dozen pages. We had gone through Hurley, Moser, Jones, Cluess etc. Some worried AD Cragg wouldn't survive the process
Remember this comment? "Not trying to be sarcastic, but I think the bigger question is will Mike Cragg be the AD next week? Pretty hard to get a coach in place if your AD is on his way out."
After the hire most were happy. A few were not and most seem dissatisfied we have not signed a decommitted 5 star from Kentucky. Mcgriff has taken a lot of heat for being too short but you know what.....I think he may be a better ball distributor than Shamorie and Heron and Figueroa will benefit better than playing with Slick.
