Mets

I liked Colon in at the end. We had no other viable option. I didn't mind yanking Niese. He was pitching well, but I wasn't confident he'd continue. All in all we were one Familia slam the door away from a win. Bats went to sleep after we scored the 4th run.

I look at things much differently, there are no moral victories in the World Series; don't care how close we came, at this level there is only winning and losing and we lost. We played pretty poorly IMO and we paid for it. KC did not play their A game either but won, advantage KC.

I don't think the bats went to sleep as much as KC's bullpen is just that strong.

Colon was fine but I do think they should've brought in Robles when the bases were loaded. You needed a strikeout there. Although odds are we would'v lost anyway.

I think the Mets played well overall and hopefully Degrom gave give us quality and length tonight. KC's pen was pretty used up last night. We won't be seeing herrera tonight. I like our chances tonight. Lets get a split.

By the way Cuddyer is an automatic out. Hope we don't see him again this series.

We made Chris Young look like Cy Young. His out pitch was literally a 85 mph flat-as-a-pancake fastball that traveled 59 feet. Nearly every batter looked lost out there.

This was the 2nd worst loss ever as a met fan for me in my opinion. The worst being that Scioscia home run which I was at when Gooden was awesome that whole game and then I think it was Gibson that hit the home run later. I want to say it was a weekend game but it was so long ago I don't remember.

This game wasn't just a kick in the nuts. It was a freaking sledgehammer to the nuts and then pouring acid on the nuts afterwards. I see no moral victories in the game. It was horrible for me as a met fan. Yeah if you are just a baseball fan it was a great game but that loss felt like 2 losses for me

Not starting Lagares pissed me off but I can't fault TC for too much after that other than not keeping Niese in which I still don't get. When the KC first baseman pulled the Buckner I'm thinking this is 86 destiny. Only to have it ripped out from under me like that damn lucy pulling the football from charlie brown every time

Cuddyer isn't just horrible. He's unbearable.

The maybe semi good news is when I get too negative usually something good happens but I didn't fall asleep till 3am last night I was so angry and I was up at 5:30am angry again and I was pissed off at work all day today

Hopefully deGrominator saves us tonight because if we lose it's going to be a short series. I didn't watch any KC games this year but they are better than us other than starting pitching.

God damn we were so f'ing close last night to locking that game down

Now after having vented " Let's go Mets !!!!!!!!! "

HTF do you not challenge that if you're KC, it the freaking WS plus as the announcer said, you get 2 challenges in the playoffs.
They don't then Duda gets an rbi single. What an idiot the kc manager is.

The only positive I pick up out of this game is that these guys better be pissed off after this.

Their ability to put the ball in play is neutralizing our biggest strength. Big time.

2nd worst loss in Met history was the loss to Yankees in game 1 2000 WS.

Hope Thor gives us a great outing because this series already feels like its over. The lineup all of a sudden feels like the lineup we had back in July. I hope they snap out of it.

Well who would have thought that Roddy Piper convinced me I still need to go to the game tomorrow night. LGM !!!

You need Piper to convince you?

86...lost first two games at home.

This series...KC is tough, no doubt. Built like a scrappy NL squad. But if the Mets can get the bats going and jump on KC's starters...this can still be had.

For what it's worth, Strat-o-matic did a simulation of the series in which KC won the first two, and the Mets then winning four straight. :)

peace.

I needed Piper to convince me to go to friday because I had switched my mind and was going to go to saturday because the prices were markedly lower.

But I'll go friday and if we win maybe I'll go saturday too so I can avoid all the trick or treaters that come to my house :)

If you go and they win on Friday, we who populate this here thread will force you to attend Saturday and Sunday too? :) enjoy.

or do we have to ship that Sirvoo dude overseas again?

ah, the glory of superstition...

peace.

2-4 in the States (LA 2-2, KC 0-2)
5-0 abroad.

I think its safe to say my return screwed us all

for what I just ended up paying for tonight it would be cheaper to buy you a ticket back to Europe so pack your bags if we win tonight :)

Watched the first two games in Vegas on the big, big screen. Couldn't believe we didn't hit Cueto's 92 mile fastball. Our problem against Young was swinging at his curve in the dirt. Next time should be different.

Let's not just make tomorrows game a coronation game. I don't want to give them a chance to celebrate on our field. 1 game at a time and we gotta start tonight.

Washed all my good luck clothes to wash away the stench of the last 2 games and ready to drive to citifield now.

LET'S GO METS !!!!!!!

Boy this game has me all sorts of crazy. From the umps giving them 4 strikes early(twice), to D Wright giving us all a real special night to remember. And KC is a real scummy outfit, moustakas is a disgrace to the Greek community. LGM!!

First time in 50 hours where I didn't feel like puking.

Nice job by fox by keeping the camera on moustakas during his expletive-laden rant. He made it easy to read his lips. And then showing a replay - definite quality!

Just got home. What a game !!! It was electric ! For anyone doing SRO tickets don't stand at section 123 because even though its the best spot noe they have an area right in front of where you stand where they put international photographers and they block your view. Totally screwed up our viewing and by the time we realized it the other good spots were all taken and we had to go up to section 433 and watch from there which is a nice spot but it's a freaking wind tunnel and I'm pretty sure at one point the blood froze in my head and stopped going to my brain and I started getting dizzy.

Had 6 freaking hot chocolates to try and recover

But oh damn WHAT A GAME !!!!!
