Mets

Sirvoo don't you dare post on this thread until the game is over

Or Jumbo_Peanuts will wish his team to lose just to teach another lesson. How about that guy....worst fan on the planet?

you learn more from a loss than you do a win buddy!

Do us all a favor and stay out of this thread going forward. No room for people like you in a season like this.

Syndergaard was Thor last night. He brought his hammer, I mean fastball.

Heck, after being blown away by that 99 mph fastball in the eighth inning, Harper may as well been Loki.

I did not expect him to be this good year one. I was expecting a performance similar to Wheeler's first year, but his 2.66 ERA actually puts him in front of Harvey's first year. Thor and Matz won't be free agents for a looooong time.

He is 6-6 and obviously throws hard. But he is definitely pitcher.

And you are right, no one saw this coming as quickly as it did.

best weekend as a met fan in a long time !!!

To me, there have been only a handful of moments to be really excited over the improvement of the team. 1969, 1973 during the pennant run, and in 1984-5 as the team emerged. 86 the Mets were dominant and ran away so it wasn't like this. 2006 they won 108 games and ran away early, so the regular season wasn't exciting. 2000 was an aberration, a barely playoff team that made it to the series.

This squad in terms of pure excitement, rivals the best regular season moments in Mets history, approaching the level of excitement when the Mets came out of nowhere in 1969 to chase and catch the Cubs. Sounds like an overstatement, but not with this pitching and the new acquisitions.

Don't tell me what to do....you aren't the boss of me. I am entitled to my opinion, just like everyone else on here.....

This season feels a lot like 2000. It almost feels like Juan Uribe was on that 2000 team.

to me it feels like Uribe goes back to 86. Seems like he has been around forever

Did his cousing Jose ever play for the Mets? He goes back to some time in the '80s, doesn't he?

Uribe can still run for an old guy, and even before Cespedes, charged the clubhouse with his attitude and positive vibe. The guy is a winner.

Conforto gets called back up and delivers with a three-run bomb. Man, this is fun.
Other than Campbell, I love this entire roster.

Alex Torres as well.

Torres was DFA'd today as the Mets acquired O'Flaherty from the A's to be the much-need lefty specialist. I hope they keep Conforto up when Cuddyer rejoins the team in Tampa in a few days. He seems like someone that should be along for the ride and adds another awesome element to this run.

Campbell seems unnecessary now after the trades. We have plenty of defensive flexibility with Tejada, Flores, Murphy, Johnson, and Uribe all able to play third. Cuddyer also has 152 starts at third base in his career.

and...of course...Campbell gets the big hit tonight.

I'm really starting to like this.

Hahaha, yeah, timing not great for a demotion, but I wrote that after seeing his huge hit. He is hitting .181 and his role as backup 3B/reserve LF and righty bat off the bench seems to have been usurped by Uribe. Half the roster can play 3B or LF.

It is starting to get really fun, though. It seems like the beginning of Conforto's career as such a highly regarded prospect should be a chapter of the 2015 story.

what about Will Flo's slide at home !!! and I don't know what the contract status is but Niese at the 5 for Bartolo will will be ebola nasty
