Sounds like its done. Wheeler and Flores for Gomez. I thought the hold
up was because they wanted Lagares also but I guess not.

Keeping Flores in this game is so bizarre. It is really bothering me. Very unprofessional by the Mets.

Usually to prevent an injury that would squash deal. Added bonus of taking Flores out would be to be humane.
 
the mets should have done the right thing and taken him out while he was playing the field so he could have gotten a proper ovation after the dick move of making him linger out there while the poor guy was choked up
 
Wow Terry was completely in the dark on it during the game until someone told him Flores was crying

Ok I'm not as mad now at Terry
 
I missed the Flores thing on the field. Weird. Imagine if this deal is reneged based on the Wheeler physical?

Flores displayed professionalism and class and I respect his contributions here. More so than the Mets apparently.

That said...a good trade I think. Wheeler could of course come back to haunt, and hell, even Flores can become a better hitter. But the lineup is a different looking thing these days, and they didn't give up any of the young guns with us now. If that had happened, it would have been dumb, as Colon is falling off, and Niese--who knows how he'll end a season...

if nothing else though, no one can say at this point that Sandy ain't givin' it a run.

Terry is wildin' out at the press conference on many levels, they just muted him for like 10 seconds straight. This is weird...

Alderson comes off as an ass, but common sense Terry should have taken him out/ Maybe did it because Alderson didn't tell him. I think Sandy going to be pissed at Collins for that interview

Yeah I can't see Sandy being too happy with this one but Terry told the truth so I appreciate this since I'm not the biggest Collins fan
