Mets

Solid team performance tonight. Terry for once managed the bullpen ok. Slowly becoming easier to watch.
by friday you will be cursing him like it'sNorm Roberts :)

Probably tomorrow night. Best part of the game was when Niese took himself out of it. Great guy though, met him at a NYR game once, very down to Earth, but should be limited to 1 inning a game. I think he's headed to the DL now and the kid who replaced him tonight is getting the start this weekend. He had great stuff and is a fast worker.

alright i haven't been on redmen in a while. I started my freshmen year at st johns and it is going great.

I am not going to post that much anymore because in my short time here I've actually met some of the players and I'm certain they read the site, no one recognized me from here but still. Either that or ill change my username so people who read it don't know its jack williams who goes to school here. I don't want anyone to dislike me because i criticized them on here lol.

Anyways I'm surprised there is not much action on this thread. We are a game out. AND we are closing in on both the cardinals and the giants. And guess what, STL and SF have a 4 game series coming up next week, so they will either be handing each other losses that we can capitalize on or someones gonna get swept.

And while those two teams duke it out we play the 51-87 Minnesota Twins. AT HOME! As long as we stay a game out or so the opportunity is right there. we have to take it. GO METS

Right now its 2-2 against the reds. need this win. STL is going to win most likely but SF plays later.

Welcome to St. John's Jack! I expect you to post more, not less because we get very little student input here. So, PM Paul to change your screen name please. Besides, the only fans here that are grandfathered into using their real name are Mike Maher and Paul Massell. ;)

Hey, is this the real Jack Williams? ;) :) Not to worry, detective Dinkins hasn't been posting for a while.

Jack, hope this the beginning of four wonderful years and that someday you'll be able to look back at these years as some of the most enjoyable. What school are you enrolled in and what are you going to major in

LOL !!

Can you be optimistic and pessimistic at the very same time? On one hand I love how the schedule lines up and how this motley crew of players have come together in last 2.5 weeks. But I still have big concerns over the bullpen outside of Reed, Familia, and Blevins. Think we are a little too reliant on the long ball again but Reyes' emergence mitigates that. And of course I don't trust Terry still. Hopefully deGrom and Matz can come back soon. Think we have a good shot at the WC so lets see what happens!

they play better when I'm away so if you guys want to start a gofundme campaign I wont come back to the states till the season is over :)

same thing happened to me last year. Won game 5 against LAD and swept the Cubs when I was away. Once we got back for Game 1 of the WS...you know what happened next. Think you should come back anyway, maybe they slide for a weekend and then pickup the momentum again.

The pleasure of being a Met fan.

Just started one. You are slated to depart for Southeast Asian Monday night.

Mets fire Triple-A manager Wally Backman, citing 'pattern of defiance'

I will always remember Wally's season for the 86' champion Mets. Good luck Wally.
