Mets

Duda benched for Campbell against Sherzer? Collins and Campbell dating?

At least Campbell looks alive. Both are non-impact players right now. Duda will be an okay option off the bench with some pop.

*EDIT: Terry just said Duda's back is banged up.

Anyone going to game tomorrow night ?

It's SJU night at Citi.

I'm going. Didn't even realize it was SJU night. Guess I'll wear my sju hat

Where you sitting ?

Picking up tickets by the bullpen around 6 pm

Not sure where we are sitting

FWIW .... Posted a couple of times on this thread that it was SJU night

Good deal ... A ticket, food voucher and a hat

A bunch of us who went to Maui are going

Is there a link to the deal?

Nice article in the post about today's starter. Stand-up guy. I never got his appeal other than the fact that he is 125 pounds overweight and tested positive for peds. To be fair never disliked him either.

Went to last nights game 1st of the year. Good playoff atmosphere hopefully we continue or dominance over Nats!

Seats are in the outfield, leftfield I believe. I'll be there.

I wasn't sitting with the SJU crowd, but I left my Mets gear home in favor of SJU outercoat and bright red SJU sweatshirt, which was acknowledged several times in the stadium - once by a kid at the refreshment counter who excitedly told me he is transferring to SJU in September. JSJ would be better to report, but there were about 500 SJU students and alums present. One SJU student answered a question correctly on the video screen between innings. All in all, a nice night for SJU.

VERY early but how has keeping Harvey and letting Murphy go worked out so far?

Still early but not quite as early so how has keeping Harvey and letting Murphy go worked out so far?

What does keeping Harvey have to do with letting Murphy go? The money needed went into getting Cespedes and that guy hasn't been half bad.

Just for my money, I'd rather have Walker and Harvey than Murphy and Niese. The only possible thing for the Mets to do with Harvey would have been to trade him for prospects. He has 3 dirt cheap seasons so they weren't going to trade him for a star, because if they did, it would add 45-60 million to the payroll for those three seasons. Right now the Mets may be looking at $1 billion or more to keep their 4 starters, and Wheeler is right there too if his comeback is successful

Was not connecting the two; just thought it was two moves the Mets should have made and was pretty soundly disagreed with; really just "poking in the eye" for fun if you will. Loved Murphy; thought Harvey was ordained well before he really did anything substantial and I don't like "me" players in general. I mean the guy has/had tremendous stuff but has really done little in relative terms but many on here talked about him as if he was a superstar. Of course I never thought he would fall the way he has but I just never liked him. Nor for the record did I dream Murphy would have the year he is having.

What kind of idiot (Collins) allows David Wright to be on his own with bases loaded and a 3-0 count with the winning run on third in the bottom of the 9th?

Its better to be lucky than smart.
