Mets 2024 Season

And yet another Met pitcher meltdown, with two outs in the 7th, gift the Orioles a run on a balk and then give up a home run to erase a 2 run lead.
And this after the Orioles scored their 1st run unearned via a one out error on a pickoff attempt at 2nd allowing the runner to score on a subsequent groundout to 1st.
This team just can’t get out of its own way.

The balk killed his concentration; Peterson was too pumped from the strike out for the second out that he didn't stop and got the balk call.

Potato, potatoe! What you call pumped I call a meltdown. Just a regular occurrence with this team.

But how about that Alvarez 9th inning--great to see the kid so thrilled; hopefully it gets him going
Obviously I am very down on this team, but kudos to Mendoza for giving the green light on 3-0 and Alvarez for parking it. Love the win but this team nowhere near plays to its potential. Keep hoping they will but that is just the nature of a fan(atic)!

Just have to stay close and then Labor Day weekend is when we make our move.

We play @White Sox that weekend while Braves go to Philly.

Surely me penciling in wins against the white sox wont come back to haunt me s/

Quintana has been a solid starter for most of the year, but man does he throw some meatballs.

I think Pitino could’ve gone yard on that pitch in the first inning

Absolutely a broken record pitching staff, caught stealing for a two out nobody on 1st inning, followed by a walk, and you guessed it, a home run. Just comical……

Have to disagree, a 4+ ERA is far from solid IMO.
Plus nothing more than a five inning pitcher.
