Nice surprise. My wife surprised my with tickets for tonight as an early Father’s Day gift. We are heading to the game shortly. We popped over to the fan zone in Trafalgar Square earlier (we didn’t know it was in, we just happened by it).
Upper decks I think are £50, lower decks were £150 in the outfield. The average was probably around £100 ($125).
The main pain it it is the opposite side of London from us, so will take about an hour on the tube to get there.
You get along with anyone except LogenI am behind enemy lines tonight at Citi Field . Friends invited us to the a game tonight (they are big Mets fans but know even though I am a Yankee fan, I love to go to any pro baseball game and enjoy hanging out with them. We were meeting at the Hyundai Club before proceeding to our seats but I received a phone call while on the way that the wife of the couple tested positive for COVID.
It is weird being here without being with a true Mets Fan (my wife calls herself one but she really doesn’t follow them) or in a group outing.
Nice seats !
Great view for a classic Tylor MeGill Experience
I thought he looked good, a lot of swings and misses, then all of a sudden it was a tie game with guys on 2nd and 3rd and he was out of the game after 4 2/3 innings.Great view for a classic Tylor MeGill Experience
That one sentence is basically what us Mets fans watch every fifth day, lol. It's a big tease. He has a lot of raw stuff that makes you think he can figure it out, but he can never get through 5-6 innings.I thought he looked good, a lot of swings and misses, then all of a sudden it was a tie game with guys on 2nd and 3rd and he was out of the game after 4 2/3 innings.
That was Clarke Schmidt for us until this year. That one sentence is basically what us Mets fans watch every fifth day, lol. It's a big tease. He has a lot of raw stuff that makes you think he can figure it out, but he can never get through 5-6 innings.
That’s why we call him Tyler Regenge. By the 3rd post you know what’s comingI thought he looked good, a lot of swings and misses, then all of a sudden it was a tie game with guys on 2nd and 3rd and he was out of the game after 4 2/3 innings.
The new scoreboard is amazing.
The old wash, rinse, repeat. The Mets come home play the worst team in the NL and get four hits. That sums up the season.
I subscribe to MLB Extra Innings where I get virtually every MLB game, except local games which air over the air. Cost's about $150 for the season. Most of the Yankees games are YES pickups.Baseball seems to be a sport most trying to commit suicide.
Streaming services are the figurative razor blades to help accomplish the task. Early this season I bought FUBO to get the Mets on WPIX/SNY. I already have YouTube TV for the NFL. Early May FUBO and SNY have a dispute and down goes the Mets. I cancelled FUBO and got HULU because they got SNY and WPIX. I keep YouTube TV post football for MSG which Hulu doesn’t have.
The reason I bring this up during my insane rant is because as just a NY baseball fan I no longer get the Yankees. Now I am not a Yankee fan at all. But just as a general NY fan I never minded tuning in to watch baseball. For the first time in my life I have no idea who caries YES!? This is insane. Sometimes they are on ESPN or Amazon(!?) or maybe Apple. I finally saw a Yankee game on Fox because they were playing the Dodger dogs.
Point is do they really want to make it impossible to watch MLB? They are killing themselves.
Absolutely. I was thoroughly impressed with it. I love the Yankee Stadium and feel that got it right except for monument park which should be more prominent and visible during the game) I also think Citi Field got it right (except for the lack of homage to the home team). The new scoreboard is amazing.
Agreed! The 0’s jump out so much it looks like they’re flying right at you!The new scoreboard is amazing.
Keith Hernandez uses the term "fundies" consistently.Calling fundamentals - "fundies" threw me for a loop. Love it, may steal that
