Mets 2024 Season

So, just turned the Mets on to see Vogelbach, down 4-3, 2 outs bottom 8, man on first, take a fast ball right down the middle, swing at a low change up, then at another one in the dirt.:ROFLMAO: Just have no idea what the Mets saw/see in him, a complete mystery………..
I dont know if anything has bothered me more as a met fan ( and that list has been long over the years ) than watching Vogey f'ing stare at a pitch grooved down the middle

We better be sellers this year. Trade anyone not named Senga, Nimmo, Lindor, McNeil, Alonzo and Alvarez. Hope some the vets get any kind of return. Heck I’d even trade Lindor. Get the money off the books, play the kids and aim for 2 years from now.

The only thing left for this season is to trade for or draft pitching, pitching, pitching and more pitching. This season is lost. If someone like Bieber (or any other starting pitcher) becomes available they need to find out what it would take.

They should also be looking at relievers. Not for THIS Season. Nothing can fix this mess. This is about pitching. Let Baty and Alvarez play everyday. Get Mauricio up here and let him play. If Buck can’t do that he needs to go.

We need to find out about these players before the off-season. I don’t get why Vientos is back at AAA. Imagine playing Voglebach? Voglebach won’t be here next season. This is NOT a playoff team. Our pitching stinks. The fans are not fooled. State the obvious and start actively planning for the future. People might actually embrace the obvious.

Every day I see Vogey in the lineup is a wasted day in my life

Not just pitching but young controllable pitching. No more 40 year olds getting paid for their past. I thought the analytic geeks prevented that. Why do Scherzer and Verlander make double what Kershaw does ?

Yes, yes and yes.

Nice win last night. Exactly how it was SUPPOSE to look. Unfortunately, it doesn’t change anything. Inconsistency and bad pitching have been the hallmark of the 2023 Mets. Good for Voglebach. He hit another HR. The bad part is that just encourages Buck to keep rolling him out there.

With this team, I am never going to get excited after one or two good wins. They have to do this for 3+ consecutive serieses before I'm bought back in.

This team is like marriage. Never get too excited because an anvil falling from the sky and targeting your head is not far behind.

I am a long way from believing in this team. Mets have 4 strikeouts in 3 innings, all on strike three swings on balls in the dirt. The discipline they showed last year in working pitchers has just gone the way of the dinosaur.
Just comical, in the 4th Nimmo strikes out on a ball no higher than his shoes and Marte, strike 2 and 3 on balls in the dirt. Little league stuff…….

Mets might be No hit or even worse a perfect game tonight. Some of the worst ABs I’ve seen. Atrocious.

Edit: Well Canha breaks it up. He had a chance.

Last nights game was great as it was on Apple TV which I don't have and can't watch games broadcast on it so I did not have to waste time on last night's loss.

Good bye Escobar--costly deal in that Mets have to pay most of his salary. Who is replacing him on roster? Megill sent down-major disappointment still.

Danny Mendick is the call up. Reserve, journeyman infielder. Instead of calling up Mauricio we’d rather watch an almost 30 year old backup. Mets baseball come get some!

Escobar being “costly” allowed the Mets to get better “suspects”. Not excited about either guy but they got warm bodies for Escobar who is a nice guy but has been pretty useless.

totally agree on Mauricio

Just a tough watch, up 6-3…….but McNeil bunts runners to 2nd and 3rd, Baty strikes out on a check swing pitch in the dirt, Alvarez strikes out on 3 pitches, all in the dirt. That after Lindor ends the previous inning with Nimmo on 2nd, swinging at strike 3 way outside. Just amazing the lack of discipline at the plate all year.
Now, bitching aside, they are up 6-3, bottom 7.

Mets in the process of pi$$ing another game away, up 6-3 bottom 8; three walks, one single, an error, 2 hit batsmen and Mets down 7-6, Phillies bases loaded, one out. FOUR runs on one single!!! Just an absolutely horrible, horrible team, may be the worst bullpen I have ever seen put together on a supposedly contending team.
