Not even close enough to be called struggling.Senga struggling with command early. Hopefully dodgers don’t blow this open here
What bothers me is they had the option to set the rotation pretty much however they wanted for this series. Not sure why the insistence in using Senga either time to be honest.Senga should be done after this inning. Complete mess
Hard to understand the Mets thinking starting him but sending him out for the 2nd made no sense at all.Senga back out there for the 2nd he throws three straight balls. He needs to be pulled this is ridiculous
A bunt. Be still my heart. Maybe the Dodgers have a different analytics nerd or they like to score more runs to put pressure on the opposition. Who knew?Basically just punted on game 1
What they are doing is pissing away game 1 AND overworking the bullpen for good measure. Dumb to say the least.Mendoza punting Game 1 of the NLCS is not exactly what I had in mind. What are we doing here?
Then takes strike 3 on a pitch way too close to take.Maybe I’m nitpicking here, but Flaherty comes out for this inning. walks Lindor on 4 pitches. Then throws a ball to Vientos. 5 straight balls. But yet Vientos bails him out by swinging at a pitch below the strike zone. Trying to get back into a game. Dont gift them outs
You are not nitpicking. However, “take a strike” when a pitcher is struggling doesn’t align with the “new” thinking. You are spot on. Why help out the pitcher?Maybe I’m nitpicking here, but Flaherty comes out for this inning. walks Lindor on 4 pitches. Then throws a ball to Vientos. 5 straight balls. But yet Vientos bails him out by swinging at a pitch below the strike zone. Trying to get back into a game. Dont gift them outs
