Mets 2024 Season

Freddie Freeman at bats give me PTSD from his Braves days. When he makes contact I’m sure it’s either a home run or a gapper

Alvarez continues to be brutal at the plate. Not even a sac fly there. Ugh. Contrast it to the dodgers who tacked on every chance they got last night

A little Manaea turbulence that inning, but he’s able to K the 9 hitter to avoid having to pitch to Ohtani with men on base.

I’m feeling greedy. More runs please

Alvarez becoming a defensive specialist catcher was not what I was expecting. This winter he needs to do lots of work on his hitting maybe trying to drive the ball the other way. He is swinging from his shoes on every pitch or worse chasing. It ain’t working.

He just looks immature and small for the moment. Trying to hit home runs every at-bat and not taking what the pitcher is giving you. Very frustrating

Sounds like Banda coming in for Dodgers. Mets had him several years ago. If you have left handed kids start them on a throwing program today! This guy has lasted awhile. Good for him.

Think Alonso got hosed on that one. Despite the fact they could have some more runs, they do have 6 already and, maybe even more importantly, they are taking great at-bats today. Especially after last night’s debacle.
