Met 2017 Season thread

Anther bonehead move by Collins, leaving Seawald in the game while allowing 7 out of 8 to reach base. Meanwhile Ramirez had to be ready after warming up for two innings. All you had to do was look at Seawald's face as he was getting bombed for 5 runs. It was the look of someone who just did diahrea!
Please don't get the idea that I am a big fan of newly acquired Ramirez, however he did come in to retire two batters. Granted he has been having control problems and has been waived by three clubs.

The only way I can cope with this shitty season is I'm not going to look at the standings anymore till mid august. I'm just hoping they freaking win when I go to games. What a debacle so far ( factoring injuries ) but damn this is one big buzzkill.

I sit here glancing at my unused playoff and World Series strips from last year wondering why I just didn't take the money back. Instead I dumped the remaining $$ into the 2017 ticket plans. Oh well live and learn. However, much like support of SJU, I am a fan and I guess always hopeful.

Hey Tex you forgot about our failing pitching. Wow, deGrom has lost his velocity again, gets bombed. What really hurt was with one out both Walker (twice) and deNaurd failed to come through with runners on third. There's three runs and the difference in a 10 - 8 game.

Oh man they showed Steve Gelbs getting one of those to eat in Texas. Man Citifield has some good food but nothing like that. Of course, to watch the Mets this season they did put in the Jim Beam bar which helps you forget the foibles on the field.

No! I have been tempted but I am not sure that our health benefits would cover the ensuing quadruple by-pass.

When I was in houston at an Astro game 2 years ago I tried the chicken waffle cone thing. Big Ice cream type waffle cone stuffed with mashed potatoes with fried chicken nuggets mixed in with honey mustard on top. It was actually very good even though my heart was racing from all that sodium

the most surprising part was that the mashed potatoes were good. Not cold and lumpy

I love the garlic fries at Yankees Stadium but I can only get through about 1/4 of it. Wish they sold a smaller portion and charged less for it. Overall, Citifield has a better selection of food, imo, especially for someone who doesn't eat meat.
