Didn't you just love how Seawald pitched around a .229 hitter (Santana) so he could face Swanson , a .375 hitter, during June. How did that turn out?
Surprisingly to hear Granderson's excuse to reporters for his lackadaisical effort on Swanson's single which he made into a double. Grandy said something about the ball took a crooked bounce - bullshit! This was not the first time he didn't rush in on a hit to center. You would think with his poor throwing arm this wouldn't happen.

Tonight against the Cubbies should be very, very interesting for deGrom. Obviously something is really wrong with our best pitcher right now, location, speed, release of his pitches. Where is our star pitching coach? Can Viola be far behind?
My guess is that if DeGrom does not pitch well tonight he will head to DL. This is exactly how it started last year. JD was disconsolate and visibly upset after his last start. By the way Conforto is out tonight with a "stiff" neck. It always gets better and better with the Mets.
