LJ in Transfer Portal?
How many times does the hot girl have to tell you she doesn't want to date some of you before you stop buying her things?
To answer that, I think we need to break out the crazy hot matrix. I believe some part of this we could apply to our team.

If he truly wants to come back, I have a feeling he's going to play the season for his own personal benefit and not be a total team player. Hope I'm wrong. But I'm sure CMA would know best.

Unfortunately we can't tell what's in this "kids" mind. Fact is, lots of senior play for their chance to be on an NBA roster their senior year. Let's hope CMA is wise enough to realize (which I think he is) that chucking up long distant 3 point shots are not in the best interest of the team and pulls him for ill advised shots. He has the bench now to make those kinds of moves as opposed to last year where he did not have that option.

In hindsight, it might have been a bad knee jerk decision made by a 22 year old kid. While, as a senior citizen I didn't like it at all and criticized him for it, I can vividly recall making lots of dumb choices when I was 22, 32 and 42 (and later as well).

If he leaves, I wish him well, He was fun to watch and played with high energy and heart even when he took poorly advised shots. He is very talented and will positively impact any college roster.

If he comes back, I will welcome him with open arms and will root for him as much and as hard as I did throughout the past two seasons.I hope you will do as well. Remember, he's still a kid.
Agree with your thoughts Mark Redman, I turned 72 years old yesterday and am still learning, growing, and acquiring knowledge. I have made plenty of misguided choices in my life and had to own, then learn from them.

Wishing LJ the best wherever he ends up.
Happy Birthday! I turn 50 this week so hopefully I have some wisdom to gain.
If he comes back i think he'll be so grateful that he'll perform exactly as they need him to.
Exactly right. He comes back on CMA's terms. LJ's gonna have a very short leash if he returns

Happy Birthday Panther2.

Zero animus toward LJ who I suspect is far more dangerous playing with a true point guard. My only question is whether we need help at wing or a developing athletic big more.

Still it he wants to move to the ne t level his shot selection must drastically improve less 3 more 15-20;footer and drives to the rim and rebounds better

One in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Happy "half century" birthday

Happy birthday. I really enjoy your posts on this site. Keep 'em coming!!

I had been reading the fan forums of some other BE schools after the news of LJ entering the portal and those fans were not sad. They recognized him as a potential 1st team BE player next year and see us as weaker with out him. I for one would be glad if he comes back.

If he comes back - great. If he doesnt - no big deal. But they days of thinking LJ is all big east anything are over. He is not that kind of player.

Did we struggle to shoot the ball last year?

Of our returning guys they combined for 89 3s. LJ had 72 himself. CMAs system thrives off of deflections and steals. LJ led the BE in that category playing under 30 minutes a game. Keep trying to downplay it. There is a different level we could reach with LJ.

Well if he decides to come back, I’d be ok if Anderson is ok with it. I assume he would be, as long as LJ is fully on board. It would certainly help our ability to advance further this season but I’m sure he and the staff would have a lot to hash out. Anybody even know if this is in the realm of possibility at this point, or we just speculating?
