Let the rumors begin.

Kenny Smith mentioned in the Pre Game Show that RJ Davis was the Top Recruit in the NY Area back when he was at Stepinac in White Plains .  He believed that would give him some swagger over the 4 St Peter ‘s guards who weren’t as highly recruited .  Davis was NY Mr. Basketball his senior year and McD All American .  I guess we never really had a shot at him ?                       Also , I wonder if he and Posh had ever played against each other in HS or AAU ?    He’s a example of the NY player we use to get regularly back in the day .  Not always but , often . UNC got Kenny Smith then , we got Mark Jackson . Smith might have gotten the rep in College but , Mark was the better Pro .

We were involved early on offering I believe in his freshman or sophomore year but don't believe we really had a shot afterwards.  We focused on Posh and Cubello and got Posh.  I was surprised he picked UNC after Love also a PG had already committed their.  RJ struggled some his freshman year but he a Love together form a pretty good backcourt.

SJ was involved, offered and RJ visited CA for games several times, but not really much of a chance. He obviously had much better options.

Stepinac will be one of the "it" programs in the state for the foreseeable future, so hopefully Soriano has good things to say about his time here and we'll consistently be able to get our foot in the door there. And from there you just never know if we hit the jackpot. Time to start winning though . . .

No doubt RJ Davis had better options at NC .  It’s been our problem for a long time . The kids in HS today only know St John’s as a BE also ran .  It’s tough for any Coach to deal with and I’m sure CMA knows it .  It makes his job a lot tougher .

Pinzon just reposted on Instragram that’s there isn’t a 2 without a 24, and a picture of them playing together. FYI

I hope he posted that there isn't a 24 without a 2, or else he doesn't understand how these things work.

I am confused as Pinzon did wear No. 2 at Lu Hi while Curbelo wore a number in the teens IIRC.

If we do not bring in 2 more than serviceable players,by that I mean who can start for us and can make up the scoring loss,we will be no better than this season. It’s all about recruiting higher rated players . I agree things have to change with
40 mins of hell it’s not working

Excellent interview with a lot of honest and telling comments by Zach. He echoed much of what most SJU fans feel, as he always does. Can't believe that our number one beat writer hasn't been able to get interviews with Cragg and CMA. Absolutely inexcusable, yet somehow not shocking.
