Has anyone hit the donate button at the top of this page (heart with $) to help fund Redmen.com?

Your donations can help defray the thousands of dollars that it costs to host and maintain this site.

I am glad that someone pointed out the Donation icon. I had not previously noticed it. Just made a donation. Appreciate all that Paul does.

Just did the same. Great site. I appreciate the adult discussions and respect everyone has for one another. You don’t see that often on message boards. Speaks to the relationships you guys have w one another offline.

The big question now is do we redshirt him even if he manages to not look rusty in practice? We have a weirdly constructed team. Wusu is too often a bull in a china shop, and Mathis, Coburn, and Smith can be maddeningly inconsistent.

I think a healthy Pinzon would have already been the best bridge between Posh and the front court, and possibly by a wide margin.

At this point, imo you can’t expect much from Pinzon in terms of not practicing and not being in game shape. I lean toward redshirting him which also helps roster balance going forward, but I trust Anderson to make this call.

Don’t sell Wusu short.  He makes the occasional bad pass in Anderson’s hectic offense.  He is a moving wall, as we saw when two Butler players ran into him and hit the deck.  He should avoid dribbling in traffic as that is not his strength.  He’s also a decent 3-point shooter, and doesn’t overdo it.  He’s a huge positive for this team.

But don't play him out of position.  He is at best a point forward with wing shooter skills and tremendous physical strength.  When Posh is not in Wusu does not have the combination of court vision and ball-handling skills to avoid turnovers and rushed shots.

I would limit him at point, but he can do 5 minutes at point without killing us.

Champ is leading the BE in scoring and he is the ONLY player in the country averaging 2+ steals and 1+ blocks a game.

Aaron Wheeler now 7th in Big East in 3 point % (.419) and of the top 10 in 3 pt shooting he has the best 2 point fg % at .569

It's funny because on this board, most wanted him to stop shooting 3s and play like a big man in the post.

I guess part of the point of my post was to reinforce Amase's point that while he's shooting threes well, he's also taking and making lots of high percentage twos. His overall shooting percentage is 50% because he is taking a few more twos than threes. All good stuff.

Obviously should do what’s best for the kid, assuming he is even eligible for a redshirt.  But I wouldn’t worry about roster balance going forward when in comes to Pinzon.  In this day and age, the chances of Pinzon sticking around for four years, let alone five are extremely slim.

I love Wusu. But I'd love him more as an undersized PF full time. But the roster makeup, plus Wheeler often playing great, doesn't currently allow for that.

Still can't believe that LJSA clown didn't want Wheeler back next season.

And that's after a slump that lasted forever in fan years. Not even sure how long it was in real time.

Let's see where he finishes. It has been a frustrating season compared to expectations despite the numbers he has put up. His numbers are down pretty much across the board from last season. Including his FG% which is now at 41%.

Individual stats are fun to discuss, but the only stats that really matters are wins and losses. Here's hoping that the pattern is broken next game
