You guys obviously have issues, but when it came to where kids were going and other "inside stuff" his track record was pretty good. This was highly unfortunate during the Norm years as none of the kids were coming here.

I personally got along with him the few times I met him, but I am not here to defend Sam. My only point is of all the "inside sources" we have had on these boards, he was usually the one on point. I root for SJU so I hope he is wrong, but his tweet does not bode well IMO.

If no one one really knows until papers are signed, then how does someone like Maven knowing make it true?

Obekpa was going to Cincy, but he chose the good guys. If we do know one thing certain, it's there is no way to predict the actions of an 18-year-old from one minute to the next. I will just wait.

This is a message for everyone. While I obviously can't tell you what to do, but I suggest strongly, no matter how this plays out, please, please stay off Cincy fanboards in order to crow or b*tch.

Nothing good comes out of it. I am sure we will have troll monkeys from Cincy here doing that regardless, and we will handle them accordingly. I would rather not anyone here give them any added ammo. I would just like to see this place remain above board.

Nothing more disturbing than watching "fans" bitch and moan on twitter about recruits, dirty recruiting, crooked coaches, etc.
Those things really reflect poorly on a program.

As long as he is still coming on a last minute visit to SJ before he announces, I put my faith in Lavin to sell the program and close the deal.

While I still don't care to hear it, because I know that Maven does know some people, his track record lately hasnt been very good with his predictions.
 
well i hope he is wrong. If Jermaine comes to St Johns and we get everyone back plus Hooper and Gift, this team is deep and scary !!
