Jakarr Sampon get deal with 76ers!

Sampson's game tonight:
6 points, 2-3 from the field, 2-2 from free throw line, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 turnover in 7 minutes.

Not bad for seven minutes works.

Battle of the first Lavin recruting class. Orlando vs. the 76ers. Harkless gets 3 minutes. Zero points and 1 rebound. Jakkar gets 17 minutes, as it looks like Sixers have 9 healthy bodies. He scores 5 and gets a few boards, but no assists. He did hit a three. Mo slipping down the depth chart. Don't know if he has a future in Orlando, which isn't a good thing. Sometimes we forget just how good you have to be to make it in the NBA.

What, you don't think Malik Stith eventually makes the league? :)

for what it's worth, JaKarr has started the past few games for the Sixers, gettin' about 20 minutes a game. His numbers are nothing spectacular (in a win at Utah, he was still a -15), though he racks up more than a steal or two when getting minutes.

On the other hand, last night, Harkless was again on the bench for Orlando, and his minutes per game average is dropping big time...about 10 min a game for the month of December, and sinking if this continues.

What's going on with Mo? He seemed to have such great upside but can't seem to turn the corner...

Last night's game:
4-4 from the field, 1-2 free throws, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals.....and 3 turnovers and 4 personal fouls. He would have played more I bet except for the personal fouls. I think he had 3 fouls in the first half.

Not bad...

Ironically if only Moe was on the original team that drafted him he would be playing all the time.

Guess who now has a worse record than the 76ers? Our beloved Knicks, now at 5-32, behind the Sixers 5-28.

And starting to dump players to clear cap room. Hopefully they shut Melo down and the lottery is kind.

St John's has a great opportunity to capitalize on the city's hunger for good basketball. It starts tomorrow night. If we want to make the tourney, we have to beat everyone at MSG.

Check out Sampson's +/- relative to his teammates.
not a bad game!

11 points on 5/7 shooting and 1/2 from 3-point range with 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.

We would've been in the round of 32 at a minimum if he bought in and averaged that last year.

I wish Jakarr nothing but success as he's living out his dreams.

5 assists? Interesting

Yes, it is nice to see a player like Sampson, from our Program, make a NBA team.

Problem is that the Sixers and Knicks are currently like NBADL teams with players of that ability, not much more.

He'll get his 1 season in the LEAGUE and likely play overseas next year.

Would he have helped us against SH, BUTLER, Nova?

Answer... Maybe. He kinda folded his tent late last season and didn't contribute down the stretch. for whatever reason..

Karr is playing great lately. Sixers was great opportunity for him. As far as Moe goes, didnt he get into some trouble over there? Was that just a rumor, I hope so. Always liked Moe, think he is loaded with talent, just doesnt play with fire. Hope he changes things around, he is still real young.

Jakarr didn't play hard/well down the stretch last season? Don't remember that.

It's a blatant lie that has been accepted as factual on this board. So untrue.
