JS has hit his his last 4 three point attempts. Four of 5 tonight and 3 steals.
@MaxRappaport: MCW (foot) is out tonight in Boston. JaKarr Sampson gets the start at point guard.

That's a pretty tall point guard....
He's been playing well in his limited minutes since the beginning of January.
42% from three; over 50% FG %. He's been judicious.
Hopefully he keeps it up.
Congrats to Jakarr. Regardless of what Philly is trying to do this year, playing in the NBA is something that nobody will ever be able to take away from him. He's a great kid. I'm very happy to be wrong on him being able to play in the NBA and I hope he can get himself a contract beyond this season.
With that written, how in the world did the Sixers even consider playing him at PG? He is a PF transitioning to SF. He was over-matched by the skill sets of SFs at the college level. How can he be expected to defend NBA PGs and run an offense? How can they start an undrafted rookie PF at PG and defend themselves against the throwing the season rumors?
He was on the wrong end of the Sports Center play of the night the other day:

8. JaKarr Sampson’s Zeal for Help Defense
Poor Sampson has been something of a punch line — the anonymous guy with weird hair and nonexistent stats who became emblematic of the Sixers’ tanking project. “Who the hell is this Sampson guy?”
But Sampson’s game has perked up over the last month, and he works his tail off at the nonglamorous parts of defense. Help defense for a wing player on the weak side is a thankless task. You have to rush into the paint and bump into a much larger man rumbling toward you at full speed. That hurts, but Sampson is game for it every time, and he’s happy to meet the big fella hard at the rim if that’s what it takes:
The Sixers are 12-24 since their 0-17 start. That’s not good, but it’s the winning percentage of a perfectly normal bad team. They’re 12th in points allowed per possession, and Michael Carter-Williams is playing a more balanced game of late. There has been progress here if you care to see it.

Sampson scored 13 straight for the 76ers in the 4th quarter and came close to willing them to victory. I watched the game. Great job by him but so sad to see moe not touch the floor
