HOLY CROSS, Sat., Nov. 25, 7p, FS-2

Funnily enough Holy Cross High School (class of 88 BTW) is not associated with Holy Cross (College)
It does seem that way but , the Priests at Notre Dame belong to a Order known as the Congregation of the Holy Cross and they aren’t Jesuits like the Priests that run Holy Cross College , BC, G ‘Town , Fordham, etc .

It’s confusing to say the least . Further complicated by a College in South Bend, In called Holy Cross. It’s a feeder school to ND where Rudy went to get his grades up to apply to ND for his last years . It’s run by the same priests as ND .

It’s primarily for kids who don’t quite get admitted to ND but , still would like to attend rather than go elsewhere . These aren’t Remedial students who have academic deficiencies but , rather have good grades , just not enough to get into ND as Freshman .

Holy Cross in Worcester is entirely different . It’s a Jesuit school and , hard to get into as well . No prep school across the street , either .

Is this definite ? I thought Ledlum and Dingle didn’t because of their conference but Beast mentioned to me a month or so ago he heard they did have an extra
I suspect that because we have two Ivy guys we have secretly been discussing it with the NCAA. I don't think they come back though even if allowed to, so it would be more about making a statement for student-athletes' rights going forward. Early on I said it was BS that basically the most student of student-athletes got the shaft on the COVID rule.

Taylor is also a unselfish player , willing and able to make that pinpoint pass as well . One time , he drove to the hoop but , fired a bullet to Soriano for the Dunk, if I recall correctly .
I might have mistaken Taylor for Luis on that play . But , the point remains . These 2 are going to contribute a lot this season and next .

Yes, real early in the game from the baseline. Nearly as impressive as Luis’ and like you said not the first time we’ve seen it from him either. Love them both!

Developing killer instinct is a staple of Pitino’s most successful teams. Good to finally see that last night.
Agreed 100% espken, Anderson’s teams would have either lost last nights game on last second shot or won the game by 6 points because it was tight game and Holy Cross had to foul them at the end.

I might have been a little concerned before about Luis and Taylor , not their ability but , rather they are equally thin framed . My thinking was they might get pushed around a lot by the Bryce Hawkins , etc types once BE play starts .

I have revised that concern because both of them , are lighting quick and seem able to get those rebounds before the beefier guys can react . I hope I’m right .
Anybody else see that too ?

Oh I know that about overall engagement especially with the casual fan. But this site isn’t the casual fan and you can bet your house on it if we won by 10 or less this thread would be up to 60 pages by now.

Between the number of posters at the game and the number of posters. At family holiday stuff there was a noticeable dearth of posts in game

Are you saying Georgetown isn't a good BE team?
Assume your post is ”tongue in cheek”…watched them yesterday against Jackson State…they were fortunate to get a win…dont think they are very good. Don’t want to get ahead of myself with the Johnnies but what RP did in building a good roster in short order is really impressive. . .when Cooley left for GT general thought was that he would “kill” it there and still may…but not overwhelmed with their roster this year

Thus is the kind of game a good BE team should have against this kind of competition. Rarely did that in recent past.

Despite disparity, easy to see the very versatile and deep talent roster. Look better each game.
Nail on the head…you don’t have to win this convincingly all the time but you do hav ego show that your capable of total domination even if it is against a weak team like HC

This is a fun group to root for
Like what I see..all for one, one for all…

Epitome of this was Jenkins getting yanked early for a sloppy pass (turnover)…didn’t sulk…shows he understands what he did and received RP’s message…very good leadership traits. . .
