Was at the game last night. Had a really fun time! Much needed after being at the Jets game friday. Team seems to be better understanding their roles and playing better together. Good signs!!
Well said. It was fun being at the game last nightI’m also just not sure what discussion we would have for 40+ pages. Holy Cross is a terrible team, we played well. There isn’t that much to really learn from it
Agree completely idraft. A lot is the in game Jekyll and Hyde posts about the team. But that Michigan thread continued on for a week or so.There used to be an in game thread and postgame thread. The mods have enough to do and I’m not suggesting they reinstall. It’s easy enough to skip forward. But I suspect the higher volume of posts in losses, which is not new to 2023 here, is in large part in game commentary. Those posts, coming rapid fire as a game takes place, are the least cerebral and most reactionary.
As I’ve said before it’s just people blowing off steam, and there isn’t a lot to vent about in 40 point wins.
I guess the point I’m trying to make is this. And I will use a gambling phrase I say very often. The thrill of victory is no way near the feeling of the agony of defeat and I guess it can be applied here as well.Michigan thread 53 pages. Dayton thread 35 pages.
Utah thread 24. Holy cross 14.
Guess it’s more fun to trash us than enjoy us.
And the channel of the game they could not watch on TV.I miss the days when people would post asking the score in the game thread
Walked away feeling the same at that open practice.I had seen Luis in the open practice and he was the best player on the floor that day. I won’t put that on him but it’s clear right away he will be a major contributor. His length and quickness on the press are intriguing.
If you take away the posts from the usual suspects after losses, each game thread would be around the same length. But that Michigan thread continued on for a week or so.
That Utah win deserved to be a lot longer.
Nothing like a 83-29 run to end the game. This is not going well right now down 16-8
Speaking of. How many realized his name is pronounced Lewis and not Lu ees. Unless the PA announcer was completely wrong. I think he called Sean Conway Ledlum once too. After reading all the lofty comments on this thread about Luis, I'm thinking we should start referring to him as "MJ" instead of "RJ".
I should read the bylines!!!Actually Bridget’s report.
