Guys on Matt’s Radar
Sense weather Caraher is experiencing here will be consistent with visit outcome. I like the idea of adding a guy with good size and stroke. Guys like that have drilled us through the years never to set foot in NBA. Give me a solid college player anytime.

Of course the question on a player like this is can our staff develop an offensive approach to maximize his talents? The West Fourth Street let it fly approach won’t imo. Legitimate question. Hoping he commits very soon & gives us production more like Luke Hancock than Max Hooper. :)
West Fourth Street approach lol I love it. Agreed though.

Agreed. Defenses will want this kid covered on the perimeter. If we want to tap into his strength, we will have to create opportunities for him (i.e. good ball movement, inside/outside game).

When I first moved to the city I would stop and watch there all the time before going to work at the Bottom Line.

I was waiting for the Max Hooper comps to start. This kid was freshman of the year in his conference. Different player than Hooper who while a very good shooter wasn’t quick enough against any type of athleticism thrown his way and had a one dimensional game (with a very good dimension no doubt).

Agree with the adove comment. Caraher looks nothing like Hooper. He averaged over 16 pts & 7 rbs as a true frosh. Based on his mixtape he is a much, MUCH better ball handler with a higher basketball IQ. I think he could develop into a starting role player by junior or senior year. In his old conf he would have averaged 24+ppg by his junior year.

Still, not a star in the BE conf. Need to find a star to replace Ponds after next yr or it wont matter how many complementary, sidekick players we have.

In my opinion we didn't do a good enough job of getting guys like Mussini free for his jumper. He had to work hard to get open on his own.

My post was in jest & reflective of staff needing to incorporate a talented kid into the offense. I stated several times previously Caraher can help us.

Brings back memories. Many of my old LPs fell victim to scratches and/or an infamous yard sale where among other treasures all my Beatles albums were sold for virtually nothing, but I still have a couple of Gil Scott Heron LPs that I pull and out play every couple of years.

I hope you weren't the idiot who kept booking Buster Poindexter there.

Actually, if you've ever mentioned Bottom Line here before, I'm sure I responded with a Buster Poindexter comment. Seemed like he was always there when I was at NYU.

Using a cardboard cutout. :)

Oh I know. Wasn't specific to you.
