Guys on Matt’s Radar

vertically huge
Matt is thinking outside the box on this one.

Is that Matt standing next to normal sized girl?
Sense Caraher is really looking forward to chance to play here so close to his dad. There is always room for a shooter, savvy player with three years to contribute.

Despite frustration not filling immediate need for a big, I will have faith something will pop relatively soon.
Thanks Paultz. That's obviously no guarantee, but very heartening.
And I didn't realize DC's dad lived locally. The kid seems to be a player that could thrive under Mullin.

As someone noted, SJ likes this kid, but Baylor alway$ tough to beat.

Auburn transfer Davion Mitchell will take an official visit to Baylor this weekend, he tells ESPN. Visited Georgia State last week.

I'm still surprised that the FBI has not yet looked into the crap floating in the Brazos river. Baylor is a cess pool.

Yes, I keep waiting for a 'but' when the likes of AZ, LOU, UCONN, Baylor, et al, are mentioned pursuing a recruit or transfer.
Let's never say never.

Don't worry. Scott Pruitt is on the job.:)

A long while ago I think we gave a glance to Ed Chang, but he committed to Hop and UW. Just read he decommited. Do any of our resident gurus know if he is on our radar? 3 star lanky wing out of NE.

Not

My early impression remains they will bring in a ready to play big man and 3 perimeter guys. Would suspect Caraher is likely and they will add two of the guards noted in this thread.

That leads me to believe 19 focus will be on Iggie, Kofi and perhaps Gaffney which is fine. Lewis and Antoine are long shots imo. Hopefully the transfer guards prove to be competent and take some of pressure off succeeding big time in 19. Just my sense of things, but we’ll see.

I know nothing, but I could imagine him popping during his visit.

Agree

The grad transfer big in great demand by SJ & others, tough get

Per Ed Miller
Spoke briefly w/former @ODUMBB F Trey Porter last night at the @PITourney He said he's "not even close" to picking a transfer destination. Expressed surprise much was made of his unofficial visit to Maryland. Said it's close to his home in Md.

I think this entire board would sign up for that class in 2019. They all seem to be smart, coachable kids who have worked hard to improve evey year.

I'd love to add Whitney to that list.

I'd sign up for any two of Kofi, Iggie, Gaffney & Whitney so long as one of the two is Kofie or Iggie!

Goodman
Why so sought after? 6'4",180, 2-Star.
Because he can score and defend, Forget initial ratings for these kids. A few years back an underrated player left Robert Morris for Georgetown and became their best player.

Cincy had a low ranked guard transfer from Sacred Heart who started for Bearcats & Seton Hall has a transfer with similar credentials who will play a ton next year for them
Burke looks like a player, whose skill-set will transfer well in the BEC. Very athletic, very competitive, plays D, and has a nice shooting touch.
I’m frustratingly bemused by all these flavors of the day—names that come and go in our orbit, but that’s college hoops today!
Would love to get him.
Let’s go Johnnies.
It's college hoops today but it's also a result of the way media and internet shorten the cycle. 25 year's ago it wouldn't matter how many kids were transferring because you'd never know about any but the top ones written about in the DN and Newsday.

The problem is the staff seems to key in a few kids like that and we strike out leaving us to chase the scraps like this season.

Remember reading the exact same quotes about Moses, Naz, & Luther last year and SJU struck out on all 3 of them. What makes 2019 any different?
