Guys on Matt’s Radar

Auburn grad transfer Desean Murray has heard from Memphis, Clemson, Maryland, St. John's and Western Kentucky.

Averaged 10.1 points, 6.7 rebounds this past season.

6’3” forward Oh my
At this point I'm OK with it if Clark is OK with being a PF most of the time. Murray's stats in a major conference were good enough to make me overlook the height issue.

* Whoops, didn't realize he was listed as a PF. If he has any SF skills at all rotate him and Marv.
There was another Auburn power forward, who was listed at 6'6" was really 6'4, and averaged double digit rebounds in the NBA and was a perennial all star. I forget his name but he did the studio analysis during March Madness.

Add Pittsburgh, Arizona and Marquette to this list. Robert Morris transfer Dachon Burke will be one of the most sought-after guys on transfer market.

Why so sought after? 6'4",180, 2-Star.

Because he can score and defend, Forget initial ratings for these kids. A few years back an underrated player left Robert Morris for Georgetown and became their best player.

Cincy had a low ranked guard transfer from Sacred Heart who started for Bearcats & Seton Hall has a transfer with similar credentials who will play a ton next year for them

Is Dixon going to be one of those guys coming from Quinnipiac?

Is Dixon going to be one of those guys coming from Quinnipiac?
rumor from very credible source is he was killing it on offense in practice this year against everyone including Ponds. Now have no idea if that will translate to actual games but thats what happened in practice at least

Having seen him at Q, I think he will be solid.

Just check out his real game numbers from two seasons ago.

He looks like one of those guys who come into CA on a low mid major and never miss a shot against us.

Burke looks like a player, whose skill-set will transfer well in the BEC. Very athletic, very competitive, plays D, and has a nice shooting touch.
I’m frustratingly bemused by all these flavors of the day—names that come and go in our orbit, but that’s college hoops today!
Would love to get him.
Let’s go Johnnies.

Hoping he's a guy who with some offensive polish who can get scores in stretches for us. Simon and Clark had some phenomenal scoring games and would expect more of same from both next year, but we lacked secondary scoring option too frequently last year, let alone the challenge to sustain offense when Ponds was out. If Dixon can be in the mix there that alone should be value add.

Damnit. The transfer market is becoming as important if not moreso than recruiting HS kids. You guys you know can perform, are stronger and mature, and can contribute immediately, especially grad transfers who don't sit out.

Beast, great minds think alike ... but I did beat you to the punch a few posts earlier. :) Amazing talent, and the fact that Barkley averaged two rebounds more (11.7) in the NBA than he did at Auburn makes his achievements all the more insane.

Sense Caraher is really looking forward to chance to play here so close to his dad. There is always room for a shooter, savvy player with three years to contribute.

Despite frustration not filling immediate need for a big, I will have faith something will pop relatively soon.

"I will have faith something will pop telatively soon"

I will also be tentatively anticipating a big.:p

Paultzman. Please post a picture of a grad transfer who is huge and the ground shakes when he thunders down the court. Then make it your avatar.
vertically huge
Matt is thinking outside the box on this one.
