Sense another visit this week. No, not “mystery big”, but you never know. :)

We'll see if he wants to take his visit to St. John's in a couple a weeks within a few days after Michigan's in-home tonight.

Does anyone else think like this......

I was completely unmoved by the idea of targeting this kid. But now I hear Michigan is meeting with him so I instantly feel like we must have him.

This is the dysfunctional mind of a fan "rooting" for recruiting information. :S

I know where you're coming from.... But, I'm also thinking this might be a situation where it's late in the spring period and teams are giving more attention to some kids, in order to fill out their roster. So, it could work both ways.

Regardless, he could be someone who is flying under the radar, so I'm hoping he at least still take his visit next weekend.

Most other teams I'd agree with you, but Beilein can really make something out of nothing. I'd fear that if we won, our staff wouldn't get nearly as much out of him as the Wolverines. But my opinion of Calloo improves drastically depending on if or when we get our big, . .

If the 314th ranked player in the 18 class is signed in lieu of a grad transfer big then our staff better get a lot more out of him than his being the 12th man on Michigan's roster.

Rothstein
Auburn grad transfer Desean Murray tells me he's receiving interest from both Maryland and Baylor. Immediately eligible.

Interesting player. Listed at 6'3 but plays 6'6. Very much reminds me of Billy Goodwin. Take him over Tariq Owens in a NY minute.

With all due respect, we need somebody who plays bigger than 6’6.

I was casually perusing JUCO's yesterday and noticed he was a 1st-team JUCO AA. He's a frosh, so I'm wondering if he's a case where he can move on and have three years eligibility elsewhere or he has another year in the JUCO ranks.

I believe he was also a top 75-100 kid in HS.

Yes he was a legitimate top 100 kid last year, committed to New Mexico St and backed out of it and went JUCO.

I believe he is eligible immediately meaning he can leave after just 1 year. Why? Remember most times kids go JUCO because they fail to qualify via NCAA and can't immediately play at a 4 year school. If that is the case the rule is you need to spend 2 years at that JUCO before you can pass NCAA qualifying. However if you already qualified, which I believe LJ did, and you simply CHOOSE JUCO then you are not obligated to spend 2 years at that JUCO. Meaning some kids simply choose JUCO to get better and maybe improve their stock for a major scholarship offer.

Figueroa turned 20 in March so he will be the age of Junior next season.
