Guys on Matt’s Radar
Figueroa turned 20 in March so he will be the age of Junior next season.
Those typical age rules don't apply anymore. Most guys reclassify so they are older then the normal student.

Yes but the older you are the more likely you will be tempted by pro ball wherever you are as we have seen with Lovett. Who was a Sophomore for basketball purposes but 21 years old.

Now everyone can relax, Matt has all the help he needs.
Sorry but have to ask-looks like Keita (?) but who is he with?
Eli Wright Mississippi St. transfer noted on radar
Do you think he will transfer to us?
His college career--for whatever reasons--hasn't jived with his 4* #65 - ranked player outta HS, but that's probably why he's transferring. Sit-out 1 and has 2 years to play.

Someone at SJ likes him apparently

Sounds good to me.

Staff on heels of Sunday in home visit trying to set up official for Dachon Burke I would think. We’ll see.

Dachon Burke would be a great 'get' in my view. But, if I'm counting right--assuming Trimble stays--we've got 2 'rides to give, with DC in.
And we need that Grad Big...

If St. John's really wanted to drive their fan base nuts, they could release rumors about pursuing 4 or 5 different transfer guards and not say a word about being in the mix for any big men.

This is going to be a tough one it seems. Pitt could offer him the most time right away and it’s not far from Jersey, Zona has the “ Name” and also can offer heavy minutes.

Just hope this Sunday sit down goes well.

They had in home this past Sunday evening. Heard he is not anxious to return to Pittsburg area but obviously Zona could turn his head.

Burke like Caraher should find playing for SJU appetizing. The jump in competition plus the style of play Mullin seems to favor should be a plus in bringing this type of player to SJU. The lack of an offense built around a big man but one of penetrating guards passing to teammates in the corners for uncontested three point shots has been available for SJU forwards the past two years.
While taking a step up in competition these two players shooting threes at about 35 per cent as freshmen stand a good chance at being successful in the big east. Hopefully Burke will agree and sign.
