Georgetown (MSG), Tue., Jan. 14 , 7:30p, PEACOCK

Honestly, we need to stop thinking small. We have the best lineup in the conference, and are probably the best overall team. Screw Marquette and UConn they need to be hoping for a split with us. All five of our starters grade above Marquette's second best player at Evanmiya.com. We are the better team, full stop.
You've just been nominated for the "first man to jump ship" when we lose one award. :)

Take no one lightly. Play your ass off. Grind out wins even when the basket has a lid. Leave opponents gasping to catch their breath. NYC Strong basketball.

My feeling is we could split with Georgetown this year. Not because they are better than us, but because the guys had a lot of trouble getting motivated for them in both wins last year. (And here comes the standard disclaimer for a negative post). But I hope I'm wrong.
Not going to lie, but I am a little concerned about tomorrow's game, given that G'town's backcourt is strong and if Smith and Glover can't really contribute.

I hope it's that comfortable since that will insure I make my 9:46 train. Otherwise, thanks to Grand Central stealing some Penn trains, I'd have to wait an hour for the next one. Of course, there will always be overpriced UBER or Lyft turning my $4.50 15 minute ride into a $54.50 30 minute ride.
Uber has gotten crazy. I had to pay $250 from Union Square to Huntington back in December because I was so tired after client dinner no way was I going to go to Penn or Grand and wait for train to Huntington.

Tonight I have to do the same thing but it's cheaper for me to get my wife's Hilton discount and stay in the city and drive to the office tomorrow and not be exhausted. Hello Hilton Millennium.

I haven't ruled out just getting 2 nights and working remotely from the hotel then going to our game tomorrow and staying in after the game

get two nights and Party Like it's 1999! after another Johnny victory.

Any idea how ticket sales are going for this one? Gtown usually doesn’t carry a large contingent (at least recently) and it’s a weekday night.

Not well. They should lay out rally towels, all levels, to have more red.

No opposing fan weekend traveling contingent for this one which helped last Saturday. You will get the Gtown Alum who live and/or work in the area.

St. John’s contingent will also be down slightly as it is not a Saturday night, but hey it will still be a very nice pro St. John crowd especially compared to recent past years.

but a team that we believe has taken the step up

As a long suffering, I'm enjoying the play very much while waiting for the inevitable guillotine to drop. You never know when, where or how and that keeps it interesting. Right now a right shoulder is a favored potential culprit. I won't get my hopes up till about 7 pm selection Sunday.
