Georgetown (MSG), Tue., Jan. 14 , 7:30p, PEACOCK

I’ve never discounted the defensive side of the ball. In fact in both games, Wicher made a few great defensive plays at games end that helped them win no diubt. And Scott’s defensive play has consistently been stellar. But when you are a “shooting guard “ and you are averaging 2-10 or worse in Big East play, that missed shot statistically is almost equivalent to a turnover. Of course missed shots are expected but at that rate, they can negatively impact the game and a teams chances to win.

If you want to make a point with me, I’m all for it, but when you make a sarcastic comment like “do you ever watch any other part of the game but guys taking threes” then whatever point you are trying to make gets lost in the sarcasm and does not lead to a productive discussion. 😎👍
So stop calling him a shooting guard. He's a wing...better?

Also big shoutout to everyone who doesn’t have season tix who bought tix in 114 rows 17-21 we know everyone and we know who is there for the game and you all were awesome. Especially Eric and rumor has it Eric2 sat right behind him and didn’t tell anyone
Nice to part of the legendary 114 section even a couple rows away. If I can’t be in the suite I’ll try for 114 tix.

This is why we got Rick Pitino.
To matter again again.

I'm enjoying this team, don't know how far they'll go in the NCAA, but this team will be our best since the Artest teams.
Everyone knows that they'll continue to get better.
Lets get Smith back for Saturday at SHU and get to 7-1.

God bless Rick and Shanley, I can't thank them enough.

This is just the beginning. We are top ten next year if we just retain and make a few reasonable additions. Every Garden game will be an event.

Holy Sh*t. What a win!! This team just keeps finding ways to win. I just watched the replay on Peacock. Certainly not artistic. At different times, players were really poor, or really special. Lots of big plays in the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half. I've said it before. Watching the game live, delayed or DVR'd, participating in the game thread keeps me sane. It shows me how many other crazy old guys are just like me. Some young guys too.

Kept Sorber under control. But it gave Fielder free reign on the boards. Peavy, Mack and Williams seemed to have they're way with us for a large part of the game.

Wilcher, Luis and KR drives me nuts, but they made a bunch of game deciding plays towards the end. Fortunately they got the rebounding straightened out. Very good adjustments by Coach. Great overall game by Scott. Refs let a lot go in our direction I thought.

Can't wait to get Smith back. On to SH Saturday night. The return of KR!

Marillac, this year is putting the top local ballers on notice.

You want to win a championship? No more are the day where you gotta go to KU, UK, Duke etc....

We got a championship caliber coach right here in NYC.
Come home and we'll welcome you back with open arms Ian Jackson and the PG who went to Indiana (Boogie Fland???) among others.
