Europe Trip Details

Great start... Love seeing the balance! Plus gift Sanchez and jar boarding is a huge plus!!! Could be a big year for us :)

Thanks to everyone providing updates and vids! It helps to be able to check in at 1 central location for the Europe info. Looking forward to following the board for the other games on the trip. Have a beautiful day. Go Johnnies!

Guys, thanks for all the updates on the trip. I love the excitement already. I'm sitting here on vacation in the Outer Banks this week, but if I'm anywhere near the house around 2:00 today, I'll be passing up the sun and fishing to log in and following along with you.

Today's opponent sounds like a step up in competition, so hopefully we get out to a better start. Nice to see the team's play yesterday addressing some of the concerns that folks have expressed recently. Nice start.

Thanks to those who keep us informed of what is going on with our team.
Great to start the season with a "W".

Branch looks bigger and stronger than last year. I'm curious to know how much weight he put on. Dom looks LOCKED IN...very focused in every picture and every video.

Starting lineup of Branch-Harrison-Pointer-Sampson-Sanchez was exactly what I thought we'd see this season, albeit without Jordan and Greene dressed. Sampson and Pointer are just such athletic freaks. I love the little a saw our of Harrison...one of the most skilled players in the country without a doubt.

Very impressive game performance by Branch as well as, post game interview.. He has post career potential as a broadcaster in my opinion. He's a natural

Gift looks like he invested in the weight room in his off time. Bigger and seriously ripped. Maybe we'll see him on one of these Euro teams next season.

It looks like he will be battling Jones for minutes (7.5 for GG and 8 for Jones) for fourth big man in the rotation. I think he gives us more of an inside presence than Jones, but maybe Jones saw the light in the offseason.

Time for tip-off........

Same starters for #SJUBB. G Branch, G Harrison, F Pointer, F Sampson, F Sanchez. Evreux starts three players from U.S. colleges.

We only have him for a year but early on, this is the Orlando Sanchez that will play in the NBA in 2014. #SJUBB up 5-0 after a Primo 2 and 3

#SJUBB forces a 24-sec clock violation and Evreux takes an early timeout. Limited effectiveness as Dee shakes, bakes and splashes in a 2.

SJUBB up 7-5 after a few off foul calls. Branch on the bench with 0 pts, 2 fouls. Dee picks up his second. #HomeCookedFrogsLegs

EDIT: This is where Jordan would be vital.

Here comes Marco! Native Frenchman chance to play a role today. Dom at the point, Marco and Max on the wings and Primo and CO low. #SJUBB

Marco hits a long two and then passes to Obekpa, who feeds Gift block-to-block for 2. #sjubb leads 16-11 with :26 to go.

Branch scores in the paint to give #SJUBB an 18-11 lead at the end of the first. Seven different Johnnies have scored. Primo leads w/ 5.

Johnnies shot 62 pct in the first qtr (8-for-13) while holding Evreux to 27 pct (4-of-15). Also managed to stay even on the boards.
