Europe Trip Details

Branch whistled for his third on the perimeter. Team fouls are now 8-2. With #SJUBB leading in that statistical category!

Karr becomes the 8th #SJUBB player to score with a pair of FTs. Evreux counters with a pair of 3s and leads 21-20. Orlando whistled for 3rd.

EDIT: Dang! Fouls mounting.

Certainly something we can work on. I know we are short two guards for this game, but this is not a new issue. Need to learn to play with 2 fouls in the 1st half and 3 fouls early in the 2nd. Our guards in particular had a penchant for it last year (Sampson and Obekpa actually remarkable at playing as aggressively as they do defensively without fouling).

I, certainly recall Obekpa playing well while in foul trouble. Continuing to contest shots along the way.

Agree.... Certainly can be worked on.

Sir'Dom steal and score on the baseline in the full court press but Evreux country's with a 3-point play. 29-22 Evreux with 4 min in 2Q.

Evreux up 31-27 after Dom goes coast-to-coast with 1:50 to play. #SJUBB poised despite a lopsided 15-5 team fouls and 17-3 FT attempts.

Agreed, and lots of it with our guards was ticky tack 25+ feet from the basket. Have to know when you can be aggressive and when you have to be more conservative (while still playing hard D) so you can stay on the floor. That said, certainly seems like the calls are going against us today! Sometimes it's out of your hands.

Lav at the half: play smarter, play better, play tougher. Ignore external and control what we can. Will Tweet that way also. #SJUBB

Sounds like Lavin heard you.

Johnnies down 39-33 after Dee an Jamal hit short jumpers. 7:24 to go in the third, Branch, Dee, Karr, Primo and Dom on the floor.

PRIMOOOOOO FOR THREE! Fakes, rises up and hits. Two Evreux FTs and #SJUBB down 44-37 with 5:55 to go in the 3rd.

Getting away from us....

Branch hits 1-of-2 FTs and gets a runner to go high off the glass. Open shots not falling from the corner and Evreux heating up, 54-42.

Sir'Dom gets the crowd going with a big block and Christian Jones convert an o-board. Evreux with the 3 at the buzzer to go up 59-44.

Don't mind this at all. Nice to win, but good to see that these games are against competitive teams. Wouldn't get as much out of steamrolling to 5-0.

They've opened it up on us....

Evreux continues to use its inside-outside attack to build 72-49 lead with 5 mins to play. JaKarr now with 8 pts but on the bench w/ 4 fls.

Johnnies still going hard, Dee to the rack and fouled. Hits a FT and then Marco strikes from 3! #SJUBB down 75-53 with 3:03 to play.
