Posh an unsung hero tonight…will have to watch the recording or check the play-by-play on ESPN app, but I think Posh kept him at 20 for at least the last 10 minutes+. . .was at game screaming for them to stop his drive by giving him space to shoot. . .don’t know whether he can or not but he didn’t t seem to want to take a jump shot. . .talented kid

Good grief. Drama queen stuff here. Kid was on fire and wanted to bring the house. He got caught in the moment, nothing more. He will not do that again. There are no problems here. My goodness.

Posh is clamping people down. He guarded Girard the first half completely shut him down, then last few minutes of 2nd half and OT he switch on Mintz, and Mintz couldn't do a thing. Posh is putting on a defensive clinic. Honestly if you just watch him on the defensive end, it's a thing of beauty to watch, he's sacrificing his box score stats to win games, you love to see guys like this be successful. I hope at the end of the season the BE gives him the recognition he deserves on the defensive end.

It's amazing how some people always try to find the negative in something. Jones played the ENTIRE game with no rest and gave his all, made the shot to clinch the game, and and the first thing that comes to that guys mind is come on a message board and bash him.
 
Man....these were two great games. We have ourselves a real tough, gritty NY-style team. All said and done, these last three games could certainly help our tourney resume.

One point I want to make is a comparison between David Jones and Champ. I will always have a high regard for Julian, but I notice Jones is more comfortable embracing the big crunch-time shot. Tonight was obvious, but last night too he made some late drives to the basket. Granted his style of play is less likely to slump, but I also think he has the "prime-time gene".

Curbelo is quite a talent. If he can learn to be a little more disciplined and efficient, he could easily find himself 1st Team All Big East.

Soriano is much improved and incredibly valuable. He is also playing a lot of minutes and not looking flat at the end of games. Impressive!

Still think Posh is our identity. Kid is a classic Johnny.

Looks like an exciting season on tap!

Tough shooting night but he is a stud and I love this kid

Storr will get plenty of burn this year because of his shooting ability IMO. But tonight it was apparent early he was flummoxed by the zone. Add him to the list of nine million kids Jimmy B’s zone has impacted. There is nothing like it and he coaches it better than anyone ever has.

Thought same thing re: it being a bit overwhelming plus there was little margin for error and CMA decided to roll w/experience.

It was a bad decision but I think CMA has demonstrated that he gets players to adjust without taking away what makes them good and I expect that will be the case with Jones.

BTW, what the staff has done with Soriano’s development deserves kudos and should be highlighted to recruits - especially big men
