They both look good.

How does Malik Nichols look? At IS8 he looked quicker, better shooter and defender than Amir IMO. He played Slo Mo better also. Maybe it was just the two games Insaw but he is a promising player.

Good, you watching?
Garrett can fly.

No, was not able to get it on my mobile. Nichols can handle the ball better than anyone we now have and he is a legit 6'6. I hope Lavin and staff are not sleeping on him!

he played well.

 best jumper on the team?

Garret, Dom and Mo may disagree.

My fault MainMan I should have been more clear. I was referring to his jump shot. At least his form looks better than any current guy on our roster.

In terms of jumping ability id say hes behind garret and Dom but may be ahead of Mo.

I think the best jumpers on the team are Harrison and Greene. Mo is third only because he doesn't follow through with his wrist. Garrett's jumper is fair right now but needs a little work. Nobody giving credit to Gift though, who has been making his midrange shots regularly. As far as Wood, he has good looking form. Some of the best we've had. He just needs to zero it in and make it like second nature.

Not sure if this was mentioned but at the Mountain Hoops Classic recently DW was a scoring machine and the video Moose provided was indicative of the potential he has as a shooter.

The review said:
"Darrick Wood is a 6'4 scoring guard who passes all the look test of high major basketball player. Darrick is smooth, can shoot it, has good height length and amazing jumping ability. Originally from Washington, Dc Wood, was ranked the #2 player in his state by Espn and is now committed to St.Johns university.
Now playing for Bridgton Academy an all post-graduate school, Wood led his team in scoring averaging 29.5 points per game at the Hoop Mountain Classic. This was the most out of any player to play more then one game (34 vs Mont clare Academy and 25 against Marinapolis Prep)."

Thank you for the info. Good player and hard worker. The type of player we like to have here. He's ripping it up, and that's even more impressive considering the league he's in.

chances hes a top 100 hundred player by the spring?

I say he is

He was 102 the last time the rankings came out.
Can't wait to see him play Friday night and all through this weekend.

IMO there is no chance Wood is not a top 100 RSCI kid by the spring. He's showing out in the toughest conference in the country and has outplayed 2011 top 75 RSCI, Garret, and the very solid Malik Nichols (at least statistically).

I think he'll certainly be top 100 next time rankings come out. He's dropping 25-35 per game in the NEPSAC which is nothing to sneeze at. He does it on drives to the hoop as well as outside shooting which is great. Now we need a few more top 100 kids in this class and we're set.

We really need Coach to be back on the bench for good even if for a few games to close out the season; God willing.

Despite decommitting from St. John's, Darrick Wood tells me he has the Red Storm as his favorite. "I still consider STJ my top school."
