@Creighton, Tue., Dec. 31, 4p, PEACOCK

Yep, and that is just one man and one program. Think of some of these other programs and schools where NIL is not just going to the football programs but basketball as well and the amount of rich donors these schools have.
Creighton doesn't do football, so Buffet is likely a one sport gazillionaire.

Shamorie Ponds had a great Career here and should get more recognition from our fan base and Coaching staff , Administration .
It’s too bad we didn’t get to see more of the Ponds-Lovett show . It could have been something to watch .
Ponds won a lot of games for us during his time here .
To me he is quietly one of the most disliked players on this board. Fifth all time in scoring, Sixth in assists and 2nd in steals. Never understood this.

I loved Ponds. I think most of our fans did. He was one of the best guards we've had in the last 25 years. Similar to Hatten, but Hatten is more liked by our fan base because of how he played and because he won more. Hatten got to the NCAA. He also won the NIT when it still meant something (though not like it did in the past). And he single-handedly carried certain offensively challenged groups.

Ponds was laid back, like Kadary, and so you had some of the same body language and lack of tenacity-type stuff that bothers some of our fanbase with KR. He also played on some talented but ultimately disappointing teams.

Him and Lovett were fun to watch when they were together and going.

I do have access to a Peacock account but won't be able to watch the game live because I will not get home from work until at least 7 PM.

Does anyone, who has Peacock, know if you can stream the replay of the game through the Peacock App?

Generally you can. Have been for the last few on there.

They do have “Replays” of many of their livestream games which is how I was able to watch the DePaul game.

I rarely use calls as excuse, but last year we did get jobbed at end of CU game there. I was just referencing fact that often in hostile environments, you often see bad calls at crunch time.
I am not big on blaming calls either. In the last ten years my only exceptions are the Seton Hall game (we all know the one) and last year's Creighton game. James Breeding in the middle of each ref job.

Not to derail the thread but the seton hall one still baffles me. Once the refs reviewed the play and realized LJ saved the ball cleanly without stepping out, by rule it should have been an inadvertent whistle (jump ball) and if I recall correctly we had the possession arrow. It still makes no sense to me how seton hall ended up with it. Again just truly feels like refs didn’t want to experience the boo birds and chickened out

I was at that game too, with my dad, we still talk about it when St. John’s is in close games

And did that in 3 seasons

Had he stayed and replicated the avg of total points scored his last two years, he would have eclipsed Mullin as all time scorer.

In fairness to both, Mullin didn't have 3 pt shot, and Shamorie didn't have a real coach.

I was at that game. Very deflating.

I can’t remember the last time we got a crucial call to go our way at the end of a big game. Or any game really. A shot finally went our way at Providence but a a call by the refs, I can’t remember.
