Statement opportunity. Win this game and everyone goes “ok St. John’s is for real”not just in the Big East, but nationally.

Can’t emphasize enough how vital road wins are and to start 2-0 potentially on the road in two very difficult and hostile environments that we rarely win at? Let’s go!
 
Kansas as the number 1 team in the country was -3.5 at Creighton.

St. John’s not in the top 25 going into Creighton should be getting points. If they are favored or pick em there is something seriously wrong.

The sportsbooks do love St. John’s so I suppose it can happen especially without Isaac’s. But it shouldn’t.

Creighton away is always tough, not a vintage CU team this year, but a great coach, and a usually good three point attack. We need highl level and consistent defense and physicality to grab a big one on the road. Not conceding anything, but between Creighton and our next away opponent in tough environment, Xavier, a split would be a plus. A sweep is huge of course. Rattle Ashworth and beat Creighton!

You are the expert here and that makes sense. Creighton is a very different team at home than on the road. Won't be much of an underdog I would think though.

Remembering some of their spreads at home. Was that Kansas -3.5 but that was with isaacs. And Villanova they were like 6 point favorites. That was without isaacs.

I would think isaacs can swing the line 2 points maybe. Still think without him we should be getting 1-2. But for some reason the books like us.
 
I was looking team rankings (not the greatest source) but they had this as our 3rd toughest game remaining. The other 2 being @UConn and @Marquette. This is a game one we don’t need but it’ll be by far our best win to date and would really make a statement.

Creighton is #73 (Quad 1) in the NET. We are currently 1-2 against Quad 1 competition. Need this game if you want to improve your seeding.
 
Sim and Smith are going to disrupt Ashworth all night, critical key is keeping Zuby out of foul trouble. They're well conditioned for this environment and have dismantled every team since Thanksgiving. Come back home with this win and you're all but sealing a very special season. 12-2 with 17 games remaining, with this roster and Pitino, forget it, it'll be the most wins since 2000 by a landslide.
