Creighton (MSG), Sun., Feb. 25, 12 Noon, CBS

I don't want to lose Taylor AND Luis, so we really need to find out who has the better chance of returning and stop lineup yo-yo-ing with regard to those two in particular.
Luis would be foolish to leave. His ceiling and Pitino teaching makes no sense for him.

So long as Taylor has an important place in the rotation I think he stays too.

It's taken forever for these guys to finally earn a place in a stable rotation so I don't see either losing ground next year.

Just my opinion.

Small number of posts considering this was a big win. The team played one of their best games of the season. After losing most of the 13 point halftime lead, something different happened today. The guys stepped up and made big plays. Almost every Big East team smells blood and sees weakness. Creighton saw it, but this time our guys said no way. Maybe that Pitino dress down instilled something in this team. Who knows? Huge back to back mid range jumpers by Dingle. A great defensive play by Taylor. Jenkins made a big 3 and had a big steal down the stretch. He is playing his best basketball of the season. Players at this level are capable of big games. Doing it consistently is what matters. Today's win keeps our hopes alive. Need to keep the intensity going. And let's all post as much after a big win as we do after a tough loss or near loss where we didn't play all that well.

Ok Eric. 😉😊

Even when Creighton was cutting into the lead, we never looked completely lost out there. We hit enough baskets, and got enough stops, to prevent things from getting too serious.

The other key, was that we ended the first half with momentum. One of the reasons we blew a lot of those second half leads, was because we let the other team cut into the lead at the end of the first half. That wasn't the case, today.

He also mentioned NJJ and I doubt Rick is recruiting him away from his own son lol. We lead the conference in overanalyzing at least
Might be overanalyzing, but I won't be shocked if Todd Golden calls the NCAA so they can discreetly tell RP to stop.

Certainly helps continuity and relieves pressure on portal recruiting if both returned.

Have they ever had a good game at the same time? Seems like when one plays the other doesn't, which doesn't seem like a recipe for both returning to be. I'm mildly concerned about putting eggs in wrong basket and losing both.

wanted to read the comments in this thread before commenting. I was at the game and it was an amazing atmosphere. It was better than posting throughout the game with "itching and moaning" about what was going on. Shouting oneself hoarse is a great cure for ones frustation periodically throughout the game. It would be nice to see more seats filled up at MSG.
As to the game it was the best played of the year and coach rotated his starters to extend them for the full game. McDermott obviously has little to no bench and playing 3 of his statrters for the entire game will hurt in post season.
As Clayton said about Rick after being asked about his rant last week, at Iona it was effective as they went out and won 14 out of the next 15.

It was very gratifying (and classy of McDermott) to see them wave the white flag and clear the bench signaling their defeat (while giving bench players a minute of playing on MSG floor).

We could let out a collective sigh and let it sink in. We had won. No last minute failure. No wringing of hands, start the celebration early.

Cool.

Glenn Taylor reminds me of one of my all time favorite Johnnies Justin Simon - total team player who does all the little things well. I hope they both stay as when Ledlum leaves they can play together at 3 and 4. But Luis needs to buy in to team ball.

I have him in the Billy Singleton/Ty Grant category, which coming from me is the highest compliment.

Ha you give other fan bases too much credit.

I have friends who follow another mom-and-pop BE school out in NJ where I live, and they tell me their message board has as many threads about whatever Pitino says in a given day as they do their actual games.
