Creighton (MSG), Sun., Feb. 25, 12 Noon, CBS

Great win today. A couple times Creighton tried to punch us out and we did what we needed to do to recover. I think the guys just needed that stress win vs G-Town to prove to them they could win when things got tough. So much better that they beat the Hoyas by 5 than 25.

Love Taylor showing his strengths out there. Dingle maybe finally found his game as a slasher pulling up for mid range shots. Wilcher contributed in his minutes. Same with Zuby and RJ played under control. RJ didn't put up numbers but I felt like he didn't hurt the team like he's done in the past. Everyone played good productive minutes which was so nice to see. These guys deserved this W.

The Butler game is HUGE. Win that one and we are still in the hunt. Let's go!!!!

When they got it down to 5 points I was getting worried. Then Taylor stole the inbounds pass and we scored on our next two possessions to take a 9 point lead. Made me feel much better

Again he is playing very well but what you posted is a stretch, mostly see him arguing with teammates.

Great win today. Pumped for the guys. This opens our door back up. Gotta go 3-0 still and win one in BET but I think if we do it gets us there. One game at a time.

Loved todays rotation. Hope we see exactly this from here on out.

We played every possession today like it mattered. Nice to see.

Jenkins and dingle today had their best chemistry so far.

Loved Sims minutes. Really looking forward to him running the show next year. Night and day from the scared rookie in Jan.

Taylor has to continue to see the floor. I have high hopes for Brady but for me he’s done until next year.

Ledlum played his ass off today.

Wednesday is now the biggest game of the season. Go get it boys!

I just re watched the game and noticed that rarely did StJohns do any sort of full court press and when they did, Creighton got an easy basket in transition. Hopefully Pitino will limit the full court press to just full court pressure that would avoid giving opposing teams easy baskets.

I liked it. Very late in the game with a fairly safe lead and he's trying to blow the roof off the Garden with an icing on the cake - cherry on top - exclamation point - Rafferty "send it in Jerome" alley oop moment. He's at the WMF arena just up the block from Broadway. Our star has a ton of moxie and pizazz in his game. It was about to be full on Showtime...only it wasn't.

Of course, the optimum phrase being “fairly safe”; I couldn’t care less about “cherry on top”. There is a big difference between moxie and dumb play and that was dumb play, plain and simple. You wanting to praise Jenkins for everything he does is no different than the posters obsessed with doing the opposite, just spamming nonsense.
And I am way over being impressed or wowed watching dunks and alley oops. On second thought, that’s not true, they never impressed me; I enjoyed the beauty and skill of one of Kareem’s sky hooks over all his dunks combined.
So impressed with the coverage that will maybe show a great pass or defensive play over once but will replay a 7 footer dunking from 67 different angles.

Where has THIS team been the last six weeks!?! St. John’s is 16-12 after a monster signature win over #15 Creighton that is sure to get the conference’s attention. If we finish the season 2-1 (Butler being the L) BUT we win two games in the BET can we still get in?

[Edit: If we win 2 out of remaining 3 do we avoid Wednesday? Dunno that answer]

Believe me, I want a W at Butler --- but is my question legit, or do we HAVE to win the BET to get the auto-bid?
