Creighton (MSG), Sun., Feb. 25, 12 Noon, CBS

You're no fun. I bet you don't like roller derby, wet t shirt contests or drag queen beauty pageants and don't let the neighborhood kids play on your lawn either.
This is... an interesting mix of.... activities.... to judge one's "fun-ness" on lol.... think I'm only in for 1 of the 3...

He said in the presser after the game about how he gets on his teammates. They seem to respond, so I don't know if I'd discuss that as 'arguing." Besides, everyone knows how important he is to CRP, so it is natural for him to get on the rest of the guys when needed.
To each his own but I never tried to tell another player what to do on the field or the court and never really understood those who did.

Maybe you weren't THAT player then... would almost say- every Great team has a player that is an extension of the Coach when on the floor. Hell- they call them "Floor Generals" for a reason lol....

i never made it past HS ball- but our PG went to go play in the Big 10- and when he told your something (always constructive- never degraded anyone) - everyone listened.

Funny because you’ve gotten on Jenkins this season for not being a “leader”. But if he talks to his teammate after they mess up a rotation and tells them where they need to be, that’s somehow a bad thing and not leading?

Jenkins and Luis and Jenkins and Ledlum did not seem to be having constructive conversations.

Got on him for shooting too much as a point guard. Never one to put too much on leadership thing. Walter Berry my all time favorite player and he might not have known his teammates names.

I agree CA.
Who doesn't like the alley oop dunk? When they invented it in that Will Farrel movie about the ABA, everyone went nuts. Hindsight is 20/20 so knee-jerk reaction is dumb play. I forget exactly but game situation up 10 2 mins left? in the lowest turnover total game in Johnny history? Our best player/best passer in the midst of his career game. Let er rip! Bring the house down - boooya in the face. My apologies for spamming the board by writing positive things about our favorite teams Mvp/team leader.

Girlfriend in Florida had his baby in October. Not a lot to talk about.
Absolutely true . But , Pitino being the salesman he is , could have come up with some tidbits to maybe offset the situation .I’m sure he tried

Obviously , nothing he did worked . .

Not True! Walter knew who the Mul was in the Mul Berry year .

Walter knew who his teammates were when the ref threw up the ball for the opening tip. And for the next 40 minutes of playing time. Afterwards and beforehand maybe not. He knew Looie's name but that might be all.

The Truth, a leader on the Court if leading is playing Lights Out for 40 Minutes.

Not really sure where this Walter criticism is coming from but it is totally unnecessary. He never did a thing wrong during his 3 years at SJU and brought us our two greatest back to back years on the court that the school ever had. Totally classless on your part.
Also was a great success post SJU.

RMN: mea culpa did not mean to tarnish The Truth, an all time fav of mine. One nit pick, I'm pretty sure we only had him for 2 years. The NY Post headline when he did not return for his last season after telling Lou he'd be back; The Truth Lied.

Walter comported himself well at St. John's and was an outstanding player winning the Wooden Award in 1986.

Maybe we can blend it into a Berry/Posh back and forth.

Walter was a student 82-83 but was not allowed to play as he tried to come eligible.
Studied 3 seasons but only played 2
