Wimp Sanderson did wear the Lindsey Nelson-like sports coats, just like that daggum Roy Williams, you're flippin' right he does.
Please check your pm.BAMA I'm classes of '75 and '78, wife '75 and '77, I have a good friend who went to Dayton undergrad and Hofstra Law, he didn't get into SJU Law, but happy he didn't, he's doing very well thank you very much.....this guys eats, breaths and dies Dayton Flyer BB.
You root for Alabama, mostly football, some BB because.....?
St. John's grad class of '76. Have no fear they are by far and away my number one college hoop team. Season ticket holder since freshman year '72-'73 straight thru until last few years of Norm and since about half the time season tics or attend at least 5-10 games per year. Discuss them 365 days a year. My EDIT is UD Law '81 cause bastards at SJU wouldn't accept me!bamafan, just curious, connection to SJU?
True but that was 8-9 years ago after 6 years at Bama and 2 as Billy Donavan's assistant in OKC. He followed Jeff Capel who got VCU started for 3 seasons before Grant took over when Capel left for Oklahoma and stayed 3 years at VCU. In six seasons at Bama went to one NCAA and 3 NITs. Fan base wanted him gone sooner and were happy when he left. While I follow and root for Bama to do well in hoops (not nearly as big a hoop as football fan), I have a greater rooting interest in the Dayton Flyers as my Law School Alma mater. Just hope he can at least come close to doing as good a job as Archie Miller was doing before leaving for Indiana.No. He was let go by Alabama two years ago after six seasons.Per Rothstein
BREAKING: Dayton will hire Anthony Grant as its next head basketball coach, per a source. Former head coach at both Alabama and VCU.
Good hire
Wasn't he lightning hot just a few years ago?
He was lightning hot at VCU
Grant parlayed his success at VCU nto the 'Bama job that didn't go quite as well
Interesting to note that Grant is going "home" - he played at Dayton from 1983-87![]()

Brian Dutcher was named head coach in waiting at San Diego State in 2011. He'll replace Steve Fisher.
Joe Pasternak (Arizona asst) is leaving Tucson for the head coaching job at UC Santa Barbara. Lorenzo Romar was in town last week, talking about the new assistant vacancy.

Romar talking to the Wildcats? That is an embarrassment of recruiting riches.

Former Seton Hall head coach Louis Orr is expected to be a part of Patrick Ewing's staff at Georgetown, per multiple sources.
Which I am sure he will as he has emphasized recruiting in all his interviews. Getting an experienced AC next to him is something our guy hasn't done heading into year 3. (Slice more known for recruiting, was a loser head coach while Orr took the Hall to if I remember correctly 2 NCAAs in 5 seasons).per Rothstein

Helps with having experienced guy next to him, but not sure Orr resonates with kids these days. Need to get a recruiter in there.
