Coaching Changes

Great choice for Indiana. Dayton to the Big East may fade into the background depending upon who they get there.

It won't fade anymore than the VCU talk after Shaka left. It is a good college basketball town with a very strong fan base.

is this the Michael Porter who played for us?

I think he still has a year of eligibility if he gets those grades in order. And maybe find a girlfriend who will give him some structure while he's at it.

Hearing former Hofstra, Fordham head coach Tom Pecora could be joining Quinnipiac staff under new Coach Dunleavy.

Looks like The Maven will need to find another team to root for

I was reading one of the Hoya blogs and they were discussing Cooley. Complete arrogance. Fans were all for it and a couple mentioned that he would not leave Providence, but not one of them even considered that it was a total douche move.

They need fresh blood there. They should have some guts and pick a top mid-major coach. I assume Winthrop's coach can't sniff another job now after what he just did, but surely there are others out there.

Who knows if there's any traction to it, but now St. Mary's Randy Bennett's name is being bandied about on the Georgetown forum.

His name was just in my head. Not sure he'd do it, but by now he realizes Cal will never hire him so he may be ready for a change.

Not sure of his contract status, but after a quick scan of the standings, King Rice probably deserves a call.

Or if they want to make a huge splash, call Billy D. and offer him a ton of money to return to college.

Good coach and his name comes up a lot but always for west coast schools.

I would prefer Hurley not go there. Will be very active in our area.

Another person who enjoys the bay area like Lavin and Mullin

@HoopsWeiss:

"Hearing a lot of buzz about Tom Amaker and the Georgetown job. Harvard coach has a lot going for him".

There's a guy at a small school in New Rochelle who produces wins year after year. If Cooley made the jump and the guy from Siena made the jump why can't the guy who produced more than they did make it?

Mccaffery had more success at Siena then clues has he so far. NCAA wins.

Cluess has more appearances and has a win despite the lousy seeding. He's sustained a winning program over time. And he almost won the CIT. Georgetown should be so lucky
