Coaching Changes

that would be a coup for the big east if Gtown got Shaka

Leaving big bad football Texas and the Big 12 for Georgetown and thebasketball only Big East would send a message loud and clear that we are a power conference.
Yep, he's an afterthought there

Oklahoma State will elevate Mike Boynton, source told ESPN.

I guess that's one more team to worry about sniffing around NYC, especially if Loughlin has a high major prospect.

Sounds like a strange move regardless of the history but I could see it especially having to deal with: 1) UCLA dickhead fans 2) LaVar Ball
I know UCLA is UCLA but this guy was Mr. Indiana Basketball as a high schooler, a great player at Indiana and criticized by Knight when he took the in-conference job at Iowa. I wouldn't be shocked.

Carmine Carcieri‏ @carminecsju

Cuonzo Martin goes from Cal to Mizzou, hires Michael Porter Sr. and lands Michael Porter Jr., the potential top pick in the 2018 class.

Hiring his father had nothing to do with this, lol

Happy to see former Bishop Loughlin player Mike Boynton get this opportunity at Oklahoma State. He played at South Carolina in college. He is a quality young man, very respectful and courteous. Wish him the best.

Mike was one of the best kids I've met in basketball. A hard worker and a leader even in his days at Loughlin. His first job is a tough one but if smarts and resolve mean anything he will make the most of this chance.

I totally agree JPM, Curtis Sumpter who played for me was a sophmore when Mike was a senior. Mike took him under his wing and looked out for him. True leader. You know he is going to recruit New York hard. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go after Marquis Nowell from Loughlin.

Dayton's Archie Miller is in serious talks to become new coach at Indiana, sources tell @TheVertical.

The guy I wanted to replace Lavin looks like he could be the next guy at Indiana.

As Georgetown has their committee warming up... Indiana struck fast. Good fit for Miller there. I personally think Georgetown is set on hiring a black head coach anyway, so I think they'll zone in mainly on Shaka, Amaker.

Great choice for Indiana. Dayton to the Big East may fade into the background depending upon who they get there.

For Indiana stake they better hope his teams don't choke like his brother's regularly do

Believe Mike Jarvis is available. :eek:hmy: :woohoo: He loved DC

Very glad that IU hired Miller rather than a Hoosier retread (ie: Woodson, Wittman, etc)
Excellent hire for them

They dodged a huge bullet by not hiring Alford. Miller much better coach.

Alford is a scumbag. How he handled and basically tried to cover for a rapist he had on his Iowa team. He is notoriously known to throw anyone under the bus that can get in his way. And Miller is much better coach. I don't think Alford even survives at UCLA without the Ball family commitment.

Michael Porter heading to Missouri as an assistant. His #1 ranked recruit son is of course also now headed to Missouri.
