Probably should have stayed in Latham NY

Hearing Matt McMahon of Murray St is their number 1 choice.

Both him and Golden of USF are facing off in the NCAA and both may not be coaching at their current school much longer.

South Carolina has parted ways with Frank Martin per Rothstein

BTW-Sounds like Howland will be out at Miss St after NIT.  Which means you could have at least 5 new HC's at SEC schools next year: Georgia, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina and Miss St.

I guess taking a team to a Final Four at a football-centric school is still not enough.  crazy,

Wonder if Mike Boynton an SC grad would be worth talking to, but no clue how much he likes Ok St gig now.

I always felt he could be a dark horse SJU candidate.  Born and raised in Brooklyn and a terrific recruiter.

Wow
I am a big fan of Frank Martin.

So is the textbook definition of mediocre

Well he's done about as well as Louie when you look at his combined K State and USC tenures, so there's that.  Neither of them exactly being storied hoops schools.

OTOH he gave us Sedee Keita so there's that too.

After the Final Four he fell off a cliff it seems. Before that I agreed with you but since then its been night and day.

1 NCAA Tournament appearance and 2-20 win seasons in 10 years at an SEC school is absolutely mediocre.  Not sure what 10 year stretch of Looie's career that mirrors.

Here is an interesting stat.  With Frank Martin being let go only 1 Power 5+Big East school currently employs a coach who has gone 5 years without making an NCAA tourney with his current school: Northwestern and Chris Collins.

Replaces Dooley.
which means Steve DeMeo will likely be looking for a new job.
