(Charleston Classic) Dayton, Fri., Nov. 17, 2p, ESPN2

I watched the first have and several minutes of the second and this was a great game. Remember Dayton is not St . Peter's or any other cupcake team we played before big east conference begins. We should of won this game yes. But it's now 4 games in and losing to Michigan and Dayton is not as bad on paper. Two great teams. Again this will inly
Build us up when the season gets going . Last year we didn't belong on the same court as a Dayton or Michigan.
as far as Jenkins goes I prefer sim . Seeing him play more this game the team seemed to be flowing better . Let's see it as it is he built this team in a day. It's year one game 4. Not season 3 with the players he invested time in recruiting. He was playing darts landing on the best players that he could get remember that.
Oh no coach lost 2 games oh heaven is falling. Let's just watch last years in the huddle with Mike Anderson to make us feel better or view a picture of Mullin sitting on scorers table

This season is nowhere close to being down the tubes. The results are disappointing, but we've actually lost to some good teams. I personally always expected the team to be peaking later in the year. Just keep in mind also, this is easily going to be worst roster that Pitino has here, and we all knew this going in.
The Wilchers, Zubies, and Taylors etc. are going to be light years better than the versions you are getting now come January and their roles are more defined. And I am seeing glimpses from each that are very encouraging. Talent is there.

Don't forget Curbelo playing Hacky Sack during every time out last year;)

I am very excited by what we've seen from Wilcher and Zuby, especially considering what we saw in games 1 & 2. You can also see they are a step above the rest in terms of their fitness and athleticism.

Taylor is going to settle in a nice energy role off bench behind Luis is a few weeks too.

Taylor and Luis are going to take some time away from Ledlum too.

Betcha bottom dollar that tomorrow they'll be sun.

Lots of positives. Defense wasn't one of them.

Our fans were a positive too.

PT will be different in 2 months. So will the quality. We saw hints of both today.
And the thing is CRP knew (and said numerous times) that defense was weak and will take time to develop. He will find the rotations to fix it. That is what good coaches do

My only thought, is that I don’t remember any Pitino coached November games. I remember a lot of Pitino coached games feom March and April.

(Sorry if this is a repeat thought. Had to work and couldn’t read the full thread)

Hopefully the rotation tightens up. No reason for traore or Dunlap to play in a tight game like this. Might have to get Taylor and Zuby some time at the 4, bc ledlum shouldn’t be playing more than 25 mins—just doesn’t have the conditioning or offensive game right now. Also more alleyne to spread the floor—if dingle and Alleyne are on the court Jenkins will hopefully be jacking up fewer 3s. I do think the pieces are here for an ncaa tourney team.

I honestly thought Pitino was bullshitting/lowering expectations about the team's low motor. He absolutely telegraphed our #1 problem.
Then why not keep Posh and Storr? That’s what I don’t get.

I thought he was bringing in his type of guys. Jenkins can’t even defend his position. Coach had to put Alleyne and Wilcher on their PG. That’s embarrassing.

These aren’t “PHDs.”

Santos is what I was hoping Ledlum would be.

Too athletic for big men to cover, and too tall for guards.
so what happens in big east? Looks like 9th place finish. What would have Houston done to our guys? I hate 30 pt loses. I did not know we were set up to get beat up. I thought we were gonna be competative

This made me laugh way more than it should have
Between Curbelo playing Hacky Sack, Shoes starring into the crowd, and the Head Coach preaching Street Fighting mode, it was watching a Carnival Act during the timeouts.

And Father Shanley had a front row seat... To the Circus on Utopia and Union too many times last few years.
