...Can we make the Tournament?

The whole rankings system is BS...So beating Providence is a Q2 win? Bullshit rankings dominated by Big Ten....Our resume this year is definitely tournament worthy....and despite Villanova National Titles....the Big East still gets shafted! That just the way it is....Lastly Providence would be a Powerhouse in the bullshit Big Ten!

I'm all about basketball and st john's...im a real fan and supporter of SJU...Sorry for being so positively passionate about our team!

The answer to this whole conversation is "win games."  It goes without saying that if we win out we get in; if we lose out we don't; if we do something in between those 2 things (which is what's going to happen) then it depends what we do.

Right now the next item on the agenda is to beat Butler on the road.

BTW Big East teams are basically .500 on the road this season, so it sure seems as though without fans there is little or no home-court advantage.  On the one hand that sort-of devalues our road wins, but it also makes our home wins (i.e. Nova) more impressive.

johnny redman - I don't feel the Big East is getting shafted. We had just a decent OOC, but as of today we have 5-6 teams in the Tournament. Nova, Creighton, Xavier, UConn, Seton Hall and Johnnies. The conference is being represented exactly as we deserve to be. Last year would've been a big year if the Tournament happened.

Just watched Duke va UNC.  Totally unimpressed.  This is the best year for us to make a run at the tourney.  These teams are far from their old glory.  Let's keep rolling and make a run!

Btw the big east has won 4 of the last 10 national championships...big ten zero...I don't believe the Big East gets the respect in deserves....its all about money...Go St Johns!

The bottom line here is that we cannot lose to either Butler or DePaul and then we must win at least two of the four games against Xavier, Villanova, Seton Hall and Providence. If we do that, I think we are in. Anything less and we'll need to make a run in the BET.

Yeah this crap is absurd. St. Johns might get a few Top 25 votes this week and still won't be Lunardi's bracket, don't listen timo that washed up bracketologist. We have a better resume than some teams 20 spots ahead of us.

How is Providence a Q2 while almost the whole big 10 is Q1? Lenardi knows what to say to protect his career...its all about the money! GO ST JOHNS!

Keep winning.  Lunardi is an idiot. I watched UNC vs Duke today and and we can compete with either team  easily....  let's make our case and not leave it uo to these assclowns.

Quad 2 wins on the road are #76-135, meaning Providence (#85 before today's game) is nearly a LOCK for Quad 2. Not only that, but we won by the NET maximum (10+). Ridiculous quote by Lunardi.

Its all BS rankings...sorry I don't buy it...big east has won 4 of last 10 national championships...why such a difference in rankings between big 10 and big east when they have one none? All fake....

Is the NCAA tournament the same make up as in past years, or is there a change?

The thing with guys like Lunardi is they are "Know it alls" and their brand is literally based on them being know it alls.  Lundardi already came out about a week and a half ago and said St. John's only had a slim chance of making the tournament, it doesn't make him look good on such a short turnaround to then go and put St.John's in his bracket, even though he knows if the selection committe selected the field tonight St.John's would be in.

This happens with certain teams every year, I've followed Lunardi for as long as he's been on twitter doing bracketlogy, it's teams he knows that would be in, but he's already been so invested in telling people they weren't likely to make it, he won't put them in until it's closer to selection Sunday, because those bracketologist guys do care about getting that final bracket correct, that's what they get paid for.

And I remember a situation with Jerry Palm (CBS Bracketlogist)  he came on a local Arkansas sports radio show and was telling the host that Arkansas would basically have to win the remaining conference games (had like 5 or 6 games left at the time) to have a shot at the tournament, and he caught a lot of flack for it, because it didn't make sense and anybody could look at where they were at with their RPI (system used at the time) and tell they weren't far behind, he literally kept Arkansas off his bracket until like a week before selection Sunday, even though other bracketlogist had them in, and we didn't win all of the remaining games.
