If you look at the top 25 plus others in the also drawing votes only 4 ACC teams get mentioned.

Virginia,  Virginia Tech,  Ga Tech and North Carolina.  How many teams will the ACC get in?

Florida State is ranked #15 and Syracuse and Duke are both likely in if they can win another game, not to mention Clemson & Louisville who while losers yesterday are in most brackets going into yesterday. I expect despite ACC's relatively weakpower rating this year, they will get at least 6 or 7 in.

This is my view as well.  The Big East deserves to get 3 teams in.  The ACC deserves to get maybe 4 teams in.  The Pac 12 deserves to get 1 team in.  These are conferences that would typically end up accounting for another 10-12 teams in the field.

The committee can go deeper into the Big 10, and take another team from the SEC or the Big 12 than it usually does.  But it will still need a half dozen or more teams to fill out the field.

At that point they need to either (a) take more mid-majors or (b) go deeper in the conferences that usually fill out the field.

I am always in favor of them taking more mid-majors, but they never do.  So I expect they will wind up taking more teams from the Big East and the ACC and the Pac 12 than deserve to go on paper.

Here's something that could definitely throw a monkey wrench in it.  If the committee is looking at NET rankings as the end all be all, Colgate is 8th!  They are 13-1 but have only played gaes against Army (3-1), Boston University (5-0), Holy Cross (4-0), and Bucknell (1-0) last night in the Patriot Leaue Tournament.  Please, please use the eye test ay least a little.

Will a win against Tourney bound St Peters be a notch in the pro column?  They're the highest seed left in the MAAC tournament.

Cuse losing and Michigan State losing both help.
But the bottom line is SJU has to beat the Hall

Xavier still looking to play a game this weekend to pad their resume???????????  That sounds silly to me.

Maybe they call Syracuse?

It's Thursday of BET week; if we win today we are still very much in the dance hunt, if we lose we go to the NIT. Think we all would have taken that before the season started. Let's just root like hell for all of our kids today!

Hell, I'd be willing to walk to the Carrier Dome if it meant getting in the dance.

not sure about Michigan st.  Think they are in regardless and I worry about Maryland

The way things are breaking with Oregon St stealing a bid SJU may have had to win BET to get in. Certainly just beating SHU but say losing to Gtown would not have gotten them in with Gtown going on to win it and stealing a bid.

BTW did everyone see how the committee is going to deal with COVID if a team already seeded has to bow out before start?  So the NCAA is going formally announce who the first 4 out are.  Those 4 will be on alert to take the place of a team that has to bow out.  And they get that seed.  So you can go from not making the Tourney to getting a 6 seed or 4 seed etc.  Say Kansas decides it can't go, and they are a 3 seed a team that was just hoping to get into field as a 11 or 12 seed last four in would get a 3 seed.

BTW lsst night was first deadline for schools to notify Committee if they don’t think they can field a team for Tourney and UVA, Kansas and Duke all indicated right now they can go.
